"I've never really made muffins before." In the last episode this man made the monstrosity of caramel, waffle batter, and liquid smoke that is "moon waffles," but he hasn't tackled anything as simple as a muffin. Babish, your existence baffles me.
hes like the guy in games who uses only the hardest guns, equipments, or strats to perform that he saw pro players doing and forgot to do the lowwer tier stuff, ie. he started speed running mario without playing mario normaly
@@Shinigami13133 "Now about now you can use whatever water you want, it all works and tastes pretty much the same, but I personally prefer to make my own water"
sorry for the late reply but the reason he's not trending is because youtube's algorithms have a bias towards consistent, daily uploads. meaning quantity over quality, at least in youtube's eyes
I love how descriptive you get while cooking and baking. "After which you will be greeted by these delightfully abstract little breakfast treats that'll make you fail a drug test" just fits any poppyseed treat so well

But trust me, it won't be different or worse, just simplified for reading)
Thanks so much for posting this!! Also I knew instantly what simple syrup was, it's used sometimes as a simple sweetener for ice coffee, etc. Just take some water, sugar, stir while heating it all up in a pot pan for a couple minutes or so, voila! Glaze for this dish.
Right at the beginning of this video, he specifically says you can find all of his recipes on his website. Why would you do this? It even shows the babka in the video at the end telling you again that he has a website...weird dude, weird.
stockart whiteman fair enough I guess, I don’t know why you wouldn’t just favourite the page and use that as your recipe, or just write it down/type it up if you want it somewhere else, but to each their own I suppose.
My parents used to eat at the original "soup nazis" restaurant in Manhattan back in the 90's, I remember as a kid watching the Seinfeld episode with them and my parents loved it. They said as long as you were respectful you were fine, he wasn't there to be super nice to you but to just give you good food and you would be on your way. They said he was intimidating though but his soup was so good that they went as much as they could lol.
Just made the mushroom soup today. Absolutely fabulous, first time ever tasting mushrooms and I gotta tell you that's one hell of a first impression. It was so worth setting off my fire alarm twice
Citybuilder45 What I would like to know is, how does a person who has nothing to do with the Big Salad claim responsibility for that salad and accept the thank you under false pretenses?
Also totally unnecessary my mom makes excellent muffins and has tons of different recipes. Neighbors used to pay her to make them for their kids' school bake sales. She only ever used a hand whisk and a wooden spoon for mixing.
I feel so bad for that dough XD "Before it gets it hopes up, cut it in half." "Just like life, punch the dough and shoe it how powerless it really is."
I love your show. Normally I'm not a fan of cooking shows as either the chef treats you like an utter idiot (see the video series on how to make a hamburger where one video is about... how to turn on an oven. With utter seriousness) or are so complex no one can follow it. Worse still are the ones where someone is making something no one would ever attempt to cook on their own. You show us fancy stuff but never make it feel like only a select few could make it. And you also show us basic food that everyone would love to eat. You have great comedy, the right narrator voice (correct speed, inflection, and level) and are hilarious when need be and informative when need be. Thank you for this series.
I love mushrooms, so you can imagine how much I love it, if you don't even like them and could eat them. I could have just drank it from the blender and ate the mushrooms after.
Dear Binging with Babish, My French girlfriend and I love your show. We think the food is tasty and fun to make (albeit, we screwed up horribly making the apple pie). My girl has recently taken to saying 'Hey what's up guys?'. Like, all the time. Please don't steal her with your culinary talents.
should've thought about that before you started dating a woman from a country that adores not only food. but shitting whilst naked smoking a fancy cigarette.
Anyone else shocked at how his channel is 10 years old and he hasn't taken the old ones down? Dude, he's gotta be a testament to all the old channels that suddenly came back and EXPLODED!
I'm not a cook/chef at all, in fact I don't think I can bake an egg. But damn I love your channel. It's so satisfying to watch you prepare food from my favourite shows/movies with your amazing narration. Well done.
Made Babka with this recipe, and I gotta say - it turned out fabulous! I've never really baked from scratch like that before, but it was awesome and everybody loved it. I have to agree as well - cinnamon is DEFINITELY the better of the two.
I made the soup for my family and it turned out really well! Everybody loved it. Thanks so much for the amazing recipes and please continue to make these amazing videos. I need more inspiration for dinner meals
he did the burger cookoff and a calzone in his pizza episode (basics with babish) also he has made waffles in his homer simpson episode and his stranger things episode :))))
I liked this old school Binging With Babish narration style, it seemed a bit more organic and straight forward, a nice refreshing breather from today's animated alliterative style
My friends and I have decided that this sauce's secret ingredient is orange soda... why else would it be orange? Seriously tho, think about it.. it HAS to be orange soda... so we must start there and build something amazing!
Just a heads-up to everybody: In the video, for the babka recipes, he says a 1/3 cup each of cocoa powder and powdered sugar, but the website says to use twice the amount of each, as in 2/3 cup cocoa powder and 2/3 cup powdered sugar. I tried the 2/3 version, and it just didn’t seem right.
Cody Miller after looking at the written recipe, the measurements are written assuming that youre going to do two chocolate babkas, or two cinnamon babkas, rather than one and one like in the video
@@christophervaldez8421 having just made this myself this past weekend I have to agree with the OP. I honestly had a had a super thick paste that barely spread at all. Even after baking while tasting ok it felt way too rich.
You forgot the BIG SALAD!! Just kidding. These are amazing. Also, I drew you fan art! But I don't know the best way to send it to you? It's on my instagram, @bloodturkey !! hope you like it!
There's a channel called Game Tim that just started a series like that, he's only got 80k subs right now so there's a great chance he'll see your requests! :)
You are absolutely one of my favorite channels on RU-vid and Facebook!! You've inspired me to get back into cooking. Keep up the great work!! I love your videos so much!!!!
I kinda agree with Jerry to cinnamon is very underrated as a spice I know my mother can't make her black coffee without a stick of cinnamon I know it's just a piece of bark but it deserves more then just something you put on sweets given enough it's spicey which just open a whole new door
