his roommate has so much trust, the last time someone blindfolded me and told me to eat something it was dog food.

I made that macaroni salad for a family party, and my dad bought some deli macaroni salad “just in case.” That deli salad was tossed in the dang trash 20 minutes in and I was instructed by my dad to make another batch of the homemade stuff because it was gone instantly. My pops ate 3 plates of it. It is life changing.

I’ve never realized how many “B” words you can replace “Binging” with and still come up with a potential series for Babish.

I love it when the flavors get to know each other, especially when introduced to each other by tiny wisk.

Meat Sauce ~1.5lb ground beef 1 white onion tomato paste 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 tsp cinnimon 1/4 tsp allspice 1/4 tsp caine pepper 1/4 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp garlic powder saute onion & remove brown beef into crispy bits add a few oz tomato paste add spices and stir a bit re-add onion add 3/4 cup water to deglaze & scrape salt and pepper keep this warm Homefries 3 peeled russet potatoes 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil dice potatoes cover w cold water and vinegar + salt boil 5 min spread on paper towel baking sheet cook in batches in butter and olive oil and BROWN EM UP drain on paper towels salt, pepper and paprika Mac Salad 1 box orecchiette pasta carrot cellery green onion parsley peppadew pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder mayo sour cream 1 tbsp dijon mustard cook and rinse orecchiette chop and add veggies add garlic, salt and pepper shake together add like 2 big scoops of mayo and 1 scoup of sour cream- or to taste w/e + dijon mustard Bring It All Home! 1 pack of Zweigle's white hot / weisswurst / pork veal based sausage ketchup & yellow mustard 1 genesee cream ale (if you can find one!) Split and griddle sausages Pile up the homefries and mac salad on a thick paper plate Put sausages on top Coat it all in meat sauce Add ketchup and yellow mustard Bask in true glory. Andrew doesn't have a written recipe on his site yet so I made a stand-in til then. Reference the video along with this to be safe. Thanks for the recipes brother, love your stuff! ✌

I have been watching these videos for a pretty long time and I think the first thing I've ever looked at and decided to plan making myself is the macaroni salad. I personally don't have any qualms with it or love for it, but my uncle, who I love and care for deeply, truly loves macaroni salad. Hopefully I can get to making this in the coming days and really give him a treat he deserves and, hopefully, will enjoy!

Love that you showed your hometown Rochester, NY pride by featuring a classic garbage plate. The garbage plate is the perfect 3 am drunk food. I spent many a post drunk night out with my college friends at RIT going to get plates to stop a hangover in it's tracks before it could even start. Rule was the Designated driver didn't pay for his or her plate. What I love about a plate is the endless variations available. I agree that you must have good quality Mac salad and good quality home fries as your base, and a good meat sauce. And good Italian bread with butter. Beyond that customize to your heart's content. Me? I do double cheeseburger plates. Hey, you should cover for your basics series another WNY staple, Beef on Weck.

As someone who lives near Rochester, I greatly appreciate this and the addition of the Genny Cream.

Whenever my dad goes back home to Rochester he has to bring a cooler so he can bring home a damn cooler full of “white hots.” It’s gotta be a Rochester thing...

So I just found out that Babish is from my him city and I now automatically like him even more than I already did! Simply had to see if he's made plates. Easily one of the most fun things to make at home, always do it myself at barbecues.

I've actually tried those garbage plates and I was very impressed with them. I used both hamburger patties and dogs, I used tator tots or potato wedges. I would either use amish macaroni salad or deviled egg potato salad or amish. I could not really find franks at Walmart at all so I would use Bar-S or hot dogs. For the meat sauce I would use great value canned hot dog sauce. Those garbage plates are the best, but too much in my opinion, but I love them. The chili sauce goes great with any of macaroni salads or potato.
