For an animation style that's basically just posing the figures and waving them about a bit, the characters are incredibly expressive. The body designs for the toa are so cool too. Fantastic job!
0:41 Okay, that was actually a very potent burn from Tahu considering what Toa Tuyet has done… There’s also Nidhiki as well, but that was after they stopped Tuyet.
The fact that the toa metru, _while not in their turaga forms,_ encountered the toa mata surely means that there's some time paradox shenanigans going on in this thing.
Tahu may be hot-headed and brash, but he always valued unity and teamwork. He was the one who suggested splitting into teams during the Quest for the Masks, and he gave Gali hope that they could win while fighting against the Manas by fighting together. Even when he was suspicious that Lewa was still under the Bohrok's control after he was possessed by the Krana, he didn't hesitate to help him even when Lewa himself was unsure if the plan he came up with to capture the Bohrok Kal was actually a trap implanted into his mind by the Bahrag. The only time he willingly offered to split the team up was after they obtained their Toa Nuva powers, where Tahu would realistically want to return to help rebuild Ta-Koro after the Bohrok's rampage
Admittedly they seem to forget that they only ever get anything done together at least once a year, this isn't exactly out-of-character for him specifically
This is a master piece i love how the toa bounce off each other and pohatu breaking the 4th wall i was genuinely luaghing at the conversion developing also i love the moc builds
I feel like any joke I've seen relating to bionicle in recent years has been about their existence and then disappearance as a cultural event, like third-party approximations of what bionicle was- jokes about remembering a kid having one, bits about the Bionicle Dream, "The Red One" "When he shows me his bionicles" etc. It's dug up an old emotion in me to see very distinctly present day humor alongside what is clearly the understanding of the actual bionicle setting that only a fan would have
I had the biggest dumb smile on my face watching this entire bit, and I absolutely love it! I also adored all the clever jokes about deep lore, poking fun at a lot of Bionicle history. Phenomenal job as always Mootroid!
3:36 Yeah I agree with Pohatu like shoes, like I’m ok with that. But since he brought it up 😂, I feel bad for him, kinda. Also great video wish there was more, and I like that you added the toa of Metru Nui into the meeting.
Man I hope we get more of these sorta canon Bionicle skits you did here. There is so much wit on display in this script and it all oozes there character, but with some modern logical additions for comedy like Lewa being a pot head and Onua being a gym jock both of those ideas feel like such natural extensions of their characters.
It took me waaaay too long to come around and watch this, you not only did some really cool builds here, but your script was top notch, I think this is my new favourite. You and the other actor played it really well, I quite literally needed to hold in a scream laugh on my lunch break 💜💜💜
THE _LIME, JOINT._ *HOLY SH•T* Thank you for actually scripting that in because admittedly, I wouldn't have put the pieces together on that joke, myself.. Pun intended. Also not that there isn't a limit to how political these Bionicle skits can get, but the idea of Tahu falling down the •lt-R•ght rabbit-hole is utterly hilarious I'm picturing a steady progression from, 'Consider the natural hierarchy of the Ussal Crab- "Clean your canister"', to being caught watching the Bionicle equivalent of that time Kanye went on Alex Jones, _with the mask on_ Makuta sitting at a desk next to *'KOH-RAK,* _THE ICE BOH-RAK',_ talking about '"The Matoran question'" "Hey, Tahu.. what are you watching on your phone there?" "It's nothing you would understa-" "The 'Turagan Deep-Wahi'? Harvesting Matoran for protodermi-chrome?!? Tahu this has gone on long enough-!" *"THERE NEVER* _WAS_ *A RAKSHI ATTACK GALI-!"* "No-! *No more* of these.. _Nui-Gate conspiracies.._ Give me your phone!" Meanwhile Kopaka *wants* to open up to Tahu about his cross-dressing but _knows_ it would instantly ruin their friendship Aw, man. It goes on- But that is _too funny_
Fun fact: when they changed the characters’ names after the lawsuit, their pronunciations stayed the same, so Jaller is still pronounced “jah-luh.” Just pretend it’s will an accent like Vakama had in the movies.
