@@leedza Aren’t wet feet fine for the center of the rain garden? That said, bamboo might grow too tall and be a hassle to trim if there are many plants in the way.

@@peterl.104 again not an expert, the vigour probably depends on the variety. However, in the centre you want to put native wetland plants that also tolerate dry spells.

@@leedza agreed. Native plants are definitely better for various reasons.
