I just completed a bios chip swap using the flux only method here on a Lenovo Ideapad 320 AMD! - I got a replacement motherboard that was bios locked. I worked with Dr.Bios website and a second vendor trying to crack this password but never succeeded. I had a broken 320 AMD board from another recovery laptop I repaired and de-soldered it's bios chip and re-soldered it on this locked system board and can now get back into the bios! - Your video is spot on - Never touched the solder, ran flux, heated and removed, cleaned, ran flux and positioned - applied heat - cleaned and re-assembled - It's working !!! Whooooot - Thanks for showing us this... Fantastic....
music is amazing hands down I'm gonna try this on e 17R 7720 SE it's stuck in the bios password screen there's nothing else that will work so I'm going after the main brain
What is +1 ? - I have a Yahua station and it has a temp gauge - and thank-you for showing us how to do this with the heat gun. I took off a good bios chip off a defective board and I had to turn up the temp over 500 for the chip to release - I started low in the 200's because of this +1 and it was not flowing any solder until I got up over 500 - what is the temp with +1. Thank you... - I was also wondering about your microscope and what model you purchased - thanks again and great video.
