Dr. Richa Pandey, an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary, presents "Biosensors for Maternal Health Application" as part of the UCalgary Women’s Health Seminar series on March 6, 2024.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Pandey is a biomedical engineer and the Wearables and Bio-integrated Technologies Lab director at the University of Calgary.She is also the University of Calgary Research Excellence Chair of Synthetic Biology Integrated Wearable and Point of Care Technologies.
Dr. Pandey’s research involves device engineering and biomolecule-electronics integration. She develops these new biomedical engineering technologies to solve real-world problems of disease diagnosis and management (point of care diagnostics), military (biohazard and off-field personnel health monitoring), environment (water, soil, and air quality testing), and personal care (wearables for mental health).
