Spot on I have completed m.tech in bioinformatics and working as a software engineer(blockchain) I can confirm this there is no job in core biotech in India in research and development as Indians do not consume good things weather it is a drug or food but if you are a b.tech/m.tech grad you can change your field to software very easily as shown by sir in last section in the video. These jobs are secured and provide you very good salary so go for it and last thing no one gonna give you this much information as given in this video

I am in thr final year of my B.tech in Biotechnology and i must say many facts were correct and the most important thing is if you want a good salary then mashup of biotech with some other field is required or we have to go upto the PhD level. India provide a low package to BIOTECH students but countries like America Australia etc provide jaw dropping salary package we can't even imagine.

To be brief, you know why in India there is not much scope in Biotechnology? Because most of them who opt for biotechnology are not suitable for it. Medicine will lose its basis without biotechnology. Artificial intelligence will replace MD and DM doctors in future. What do doctors do? They treat diseases and alleviate suffering. How are they able to do this? Because they have read about the diseases and their treatment modalities. But they are far from evidence based medicine. They are still unaware about the concept of personalized medicine. To be frank, I don't find MBBS to be a compatible degree to appreciate and practice medicine in the first place. Mind that I am saying this because I have gone through the MBBS syllabus in detail. Medicine prescribers will be able to help those who come to them but medicine creators will be able to leave a permanent effect on the population as a whole. MBBS doesn't help you develop concepts rather it spoils your base and renders it difficult to understand what medicine actually is. Medicine creators know about medicine but they don't boast off unlike doctors who by studying few books think that no one is like them. Even DM & Mch doctors are doubtful these days and if there is a persistent state of doubtfulness then Biotechnology is not your cup of tea. You don't have the cranial capacity to comprehend such things. Biotechnology is not a new branch actually. It is old but not known fully.
