All patients will have one root cause which is definitely from a person who triggered it, mostly drugs will treat passively and patients keep thinking about the root cause, medicine can only help reduce hormones unstablity but solving or giving answers to the root cause will only help

If it’s occurring for first time and treated adequately, most of the patients are doing good.. but if it occurs repeatedly in episodic manner, it’s advised to take medications for life long..

My bro was affected in bipolar disorder on 2012 onwards but still my brother was not cured and yearly once affected the same issue on every year may to July in between gap. What we need to do this type of issue and how to control on it. Treatment taken on Vellore CMS. Pls give any idea.. now my brother age is 29. Last 12 same issue mam.

Usually bipolar illness occurs in episode.. it’s the characteristic of the illness.. if it’s occurring for first time, it should be treated adequately for atleast 2 years even after symptoms get settled.. Those kind of treated patients get less frequent episodes later.. When it’s not adequately treated during earlier episodes the brain changes are more resulting in more frequent episodes.. Those patients would require medications life long even in between episodes when no symptoms are present to prevent further worsening of severe episodes of illness.. To make it simple, bipolar illness patients do their life better if they rightly take the medications!! Regarding controlling symptoms, Avoid too much of physical or emotional stress.. Try to identify the triggers and be cautious and supportive when those triggers occur in life Give a positive family support Don’t skip medications Donot compromise sleep...

மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருப்பது தவறில்லை. காரணமில்லாத அளவு கடந்த மகிழ்ச்சி சாதாரணம் தான் என்று கூற முடியாது. இதன் கூடவே, காணொளியில் கூறிய மற்ற அறிகுறிகள் சேர்ந்து இருந்தால் அதை மேனியா என்று தீர்மானம் செய்து அதற்குரிய மருத்துவ ஆலோசனையை பெற வேண்டும்.. நன்றி.

At home, regularly take the medications which is advised by the Psychiatrist. The patient will require more emotional support from the family members. Engage the patient in some relaxation activities like walking, doing their hobbies etc.. If symptoms are trouble some even with medications, consult your Psychiatrist and discuss for any change of medications if required.
