Dude i have been watching ur stuff sparingly, but the last couple days before my test i decided to watch only ur stuff, and i dont regret it. Thanks for all you do. It will be cool if u make videos which will help us be better new nurses to. Don't know if u already have that. God bless you and what you do sir.
You sound like you’ll be really good at killing people with these NEUROTOXIC psych drugs if and when you become licensed to prescribe them……DUDE. I would love to be your patient. There’s just something about the way you express yourself that I find so reassuring in terms of your ostensible high “intelligence quotient” and your potential nursing competence when and if you receive your nursing license…….DUDE. I’m sure I’d love to put my brain and body in the hands of a brilliant health care provider such as yourself.
I love your videos! I started doing a lot better on my pharmacology tests once I abandoned my textbook and focused on RU-vid videos instead, especially yours.
These videos are amazing! I'm huge on visual learning, so all of the visuals for the pharm videos truly helps it stick! I won't forget what i saw.... Thank you, much love.
I just bought the book of Sheila Videbeck today thinking it would help me better understand this topic.. unfortunately the information there was so overwhelming that I find it hard to read it... this video summed up everything for me..
Thank you very much, your videos are amazing and you are a great tutor. I understand your lectures more than any other nursing resources in the RU-vid.
You’re going to die. Lithium nearly killed me and HAS killed many people causing total kidney failure. Arguably THE most dangerous psych drug ever created.
What if the question was asking about which sign/symptom is most concerning regarding lithium? - diarrhea -dizziness -nausea Before watching this video, I would have picked dizziness because it's a safety concern but now I am wondering if the most concerning sign is diarrhea since that dehydrates you and can lead to lithium toxicity. I take my NCLEX next week and hoping for some clarification! Thank you!
Hi! Sorry for a late response but I agree with the diarrhea since it can lead to dehydration as well as hyponatremia: two BIG factors that leave the patient at risk for toxicity Side note: I dont believe dizziness is a long lasting side effect of lithium, so even though out of those three options it is a bigger safety concern, in this scenario its not really relevant. Hope that helps, and hope you did well on your NCLEX!
I love your videos. they really help me study. One thing ive noticed is sometimes is not clear if you are talking about a specific drug or about the class of drugs. would appreciate clarification.
Nurse Mike. It’s mentioned to report “ excessive thirst “ Expected symptoms with lithium include thirst which in the video says not to be reported . So as long as it’s some crazy thirst that’s when we go ahead and report to hcp ?
Its more to report excessive urination, thirst may be an indicator that pt is dehydrated; however, dont want to read too much into question if its asking to report as a priority question. Id agree if the question is select all that apply
i know youre teaching to the test, but lamotrigine is one of the most common bipolar/mood stabilizing medications that has the least amount of side effects besides dry mouth

I have had a life long bipolar disorder and I Do not believe nurses or nps should be prescribing psychiatric medication I've had several nps attempts to do this with horrific results you must see a psychiatrist to get these drugs prescribed do not fall into this trap
