The bush you call false gorse, that is broom. That dunnock nest does seem a bit untidy, I remember them as a neat construction , with a nice lining. One of the guys down in Northumberland recently found a dunnock that was a very untidy construction also. You mentioned that there was a lot of predation, what do you put this down to? Would that be avian predators or rats and weasels?👍
Hi Paul thanks for the education on the (false gorse) I'll try to remember that 😂. That dunnock nest has now also been predated so to has the first bully, truth be told I can't say what's doing it for sure but I guess the magpie would get my blame 👍
