Arrgh, I just bought my second pair of Birdies a few days ago! Wish I had known about your link sooner 🤣 I’ve never owned a pair of Rothys, but I agree with a lot of what you said about Birdies. They’re very comfortable... until they’re not. I definitely wouldn’t wear them for a day of sightseeing or anything that involves a ton of walking. And my god, they are a PAIN to clean! I really baby mine to avoid getting them dirty as much as possible!
Have you noticed any difference in the breathability of them? I don’t have Birdies but I have Rothy’s and they make my feet smell awful... Although I guess it’s good for that reason that you can wash them 🤣
Haha I have noticed the same thing with my Rothy’s, especially if I wear them a few days in a row 🙃 personally I still think Rothys feel more breathable just because they are more lightweight and the “fabric” is thinner. I wouldn’t really describe Birdies as breathable.
I put a strip of moleskin on the back part of my birdies and that prevented blisters. I find Birdies far more comfortable because they have arch support, but I guess if you don't need that Rothys might be OK.
Ahh good idea! Maybe I’ll try something like that. Agree they definitely have more arch support! I don’t really notice that, but I’m glad you pointed that out as well.
I’m so happy to have come across this video. I’m trying to access the discount code but I can’t since I’m located outside USA so the link automatically says that they suspended international shipping for now. However, I’m shipping to an address in the USA so I would love to be able to use the code.
I do find they can make my feel smell, especially if I wear them all day for several days in a row. However, if I rotate pairs or rotate them with other shoes I am able to avoid this issue. Plus I find that if I throw them in the wash before they start to smell I can largely avoid any smell issue.
