People from all over the country now come to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in search of birds. At the William B. Umstead Memorial (“Old Manns Harbor”) Bridge each year you can find a Purple Martin Roost with over 100,000 birds and in the fall the local folks put on the "Wings Over Water Festival.
