I loved your video on Duck. My husband and I have vacationed in Duck as well as Corolla. He prefers Corolla. I love Duck and it laidback atmosphere. I never knew about that boardwalk. Next time we are there I am definitely checking it out and Donuts on a Stick. Thank you for sharing.
Duck and Corolla are both wonderful. We only live a couple hours west of the Outer Banks and we love to pack up and visit as much as possible. That Duck boardwalk is a wonderful place for some retail therapy and some good eats - like Donuts on a Stick! Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!
When my wife, sons and I went to Duck for vacation, we were surprised by this type of boardwalk, very classy. Since we remember going to various other boardwalks in the northeast growing up. This was a welcomed difference. You don't have all the seedy criminal element of those from NJ - DE. This is now our favorite boardwalk. It's the best place my family and I have vacationed. And you still have great food options without all that low class, shady carny nonsense. 🏖😎
This is a great point! This boardwalk is very different from the boardwalks we have seen at a lot of beaches too. This whole town just had such a relaxing island vibe and we definitely felt it as we enjoyed walking this boardwalk. We agree that this really is one of the best vacation spots we have visited as well. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
2 other great shops are Spice and Tea Exchange, they have all kinda of teas and spices, can even sample some. Outer Banks Popcorn Shoppe. All kinds of popcorn.
Thank you so much for traveling with us! We are glad you found our videos and are enjoying them. We love visiting the Outer Banks as we did in this video. Thanks for commenting!
We love the Outer Banks! We go there about as much as we go to Florida. The town of Duck, NC is just a quaint little coastal town on an island. It always feels so leisurely when we are there. And the donuts are good! Thanks for watching!
we go there for vacay in the summer, its so amazing!! we also go to donuts on a stick every night after dinner to get some ice cream. we have become good friends with the owners of donuts on a stick because we have been going to duck for 30+ years!! we all walk on the boardwalk and shop! one of my favorite stores is super wings. also, the chapel is very pretty, we visit that while eating donuts on a stick sometimes. loved the video!
Duck, NC (and the whole Outer Banks) is an amazing vacation destination. This is our go to summer spot. We are already planning a trip for this summer. Donuts on a Stick are amazing! We are so glad we found that place too. Thanks so much for watching our video and leaving such a kind comment. We are glad you enjoyed our video!
I'm always about a boardwalk. They always have great shops and restaurants on a boardwalk. Donuts on a stick! Yes! I do like fried donuts better than cake but I would try it. Duck Donuts! I've never had one but I would be willing to try that also. Since it was closed, that just means another trip. Glad you found one open. I love their shirts and the hat. Now I need donuts. Awesome video.
Fried donuts are the best! But these cake donuts tasted pretty good too. This was a lovely boardwalk. It was about a mile from end to end but with so many cool places to stop and visit, it was a nice way to spend an entire afternoon. Thanks for watching TripN With Red!
Thanks for watching. I do not know of any dog friendly hotels in Duck itself. We have stayed in dog friendly hotels in other places in the Outer Banks. There is one not too far from Duck we remember called John Yancey Oceanfront Inn that has rooms for less than $100 a night. There are a number of rental homes in the town of Duck that allow dogs. These can be expensive but there are a number in the area that are $150 or less a night. You can find these at a site called BringFido. Hope you find something that works for you!
I had heard about the Duck Bonbing Range that existed there in the 1950s and 60s. That is fascinating. I imagine it is not even recognizable from what it was like then. Thanks for watching!
