Just started watching your videos from Hawk Watch series. Excellent. Love how you explain each bird in detail. A learning experience. I'm very curious to know if you spray any tick repellent or poison on yourself before going out. I'm in downstate NY, and am on antibiotics from a Lone Tick Star bite after going through some heavy brush, A hellish experience. Look forward to watching more of your videos.

I don't use any bug spray, though in the past I have treated my clothes with permethrin. Usually if I am going to be off trail at all I will tuck my pants into my socks and often I am wearing tall muck boots so that helps somewhat. Ticks are definitely a big concern and maybe something I should take more precautions against. Thanks for the reminder.

Thank you for showing the information for the bird Atlas and cool decal! Red-breasted nuthatch are so comical and I love when they chit chatter I could watch them all day.

What could the low frequency have been and how is it interfering with local wildlife I wonder

Some sort of rumble from the mine I suppose. Probably drives the animals nuts

Awesome video. We're hoping to contribute to the Newfoundland owl Atlas someday. We just returned to civilization. Up in Manicouagan, QC, one of the most common birds was alder flycatcher. Nearly non-stop zipping sounds! Also a lot of least flycatcher. Warblers we also abundant but SUPER hard to spot and not as vocal. Time to catch up on the rest of the videos! 😄

How do we get one of those magnets David? I can message Bobby ai guess. I’ve enjoyed being part of something with the Almanac which I was unaware of actually until Bobby asked me to confirm activity on some new Eagles nest. Cheers to Bobby for all he does for us in this area. I don’t think people know all his efforts. It’s def appreciated.

First time I ever saw orange hawk weed was last year at the far side of the parking lot at the Williamsport dam.

Dope, these are dope! Gotta get you out to the west coast some to see the ferruginous, cara cara and wt kites. Ben Woodruff did a similar park video this week looking for goshawks, Utah I believe. Trying to get a road runner for a lifer. Apparently they love people.

@@PhilRushworth I found Woody The Woodpecker first, breeding pair of what I think is Imperial woodpeckers, they're around the size of the white tailed kites and share a tree with them. They're either hybrid or pale billed or imperial which hasn't been seen in seventy years. I need to call an institution or something. Imma post a video soon.
