I just happened upon this video and, being a pretty long time birder, I found this quiz to be extremely well done. I live in the western US so I am not as familiar with the eastern buteos, but this really helped! I learned a lot and I thank you for putting this video together!
Probaby only 75%,and I kept getting the body parts mixed up -a rough-shinned hawk! A broud shouldered hawk! 😅 I love these quizzes, thank you I'm learning so much!
Hi! I live in the French West Indies in Guadeloupe to be precise. I am a member of a birding association. And last week one member saw a raptor very high in the sky he took a picture of it. When we look at the picture we may think that this is not a common raptor that we usually see like the American kestrel which doesn't fly as high as this one, neither the merlin. The peregrine falcon can also be seen in Guadeloupe but the tail pattern doesn't fit with the picture. Would it be possible that I send you the picture and you could try to identify the bird specie even if the raptor is seen from a very long distance.
I have a video of some kind of eagle or hawk I took last week would you be able to figure it out it’s not a clear video but I’m hoping some one somewhere would be able to figure it out if someone is willing to look at it let me know
