Wish I had a good memory, it would help me to learn, not just this even though I am really impressed and love your style and your channel, but my recall let's me down always. I enjoyed this video very much, thank you.
I am learning French on Duolingo. I often get bored with all the exercises on school stuff and can't be bothered with the pedantry. Un cahier d'exercices is a work book and not an exercise book otherwise bonk! Nul points. I went to school a long time ago and I am never likely to need exercise books again so what is the point? I also get tripped up by the words which are only in American English and no British English equivalent is allowed. For example Holiday but not Vacation which is a word that nobody on this side of the pond ever uses. I live in the country so knowing the words for an owl or a magpie is much more relevant. Keep it coming Alexa!
the best way to learn a language is to have someone else teach you it! duolingo is great for linguistic basics, but it won't surpass oral communication and testing.
Les oiseaux Une perruche Un canard 🦆 Un aigle 🦅 Un flamant rose Une pie Une autruche Un hibou 🦉 Une chouette Un perroquet Un paon Un pingouin Un pigeon Un cygne
Is that possible to make them in masculine and feminine form? I can hardly understand when should i use feminine or masculine and how to pronounce them. Thanks, Alexa. Good job.
Hello Alexa, I love your lessons. please what is the best way to know a feminine word so one could know when to use "un" or "une"? This is quite confusing. Thank you for your response
Usually in French, the "e" at the end of a word makes it feminine. Examples: Il est étudiant- he's a student Elle est étudiante- she's a student Je vais à la gare- I go/I'm going to the (train) station
Here are some sentances: Elle a un perroquet mais il ne est pas vert. Je peux habiter avec un dinde mais ne avec pas un canard 🦆. Mon l'oncle a un petite ferme dans quels il a des animaux.
Alexa proper pronounce of swallow (the bird). We have a French restaurant in California called ......L’Hirondell. I’ll watch french for beginners again. Difference between L’ and Le.
