We stayed for three weeks in Central Colombia and covered the area between Medellin and Pereira. We visited following birding hot spots: Tinamu birding nature reserve ( bird guides: Daniel and Fernando), Termales del Ruiz (unfortunately we could not reach the paramo because of the bad weather), the Cocora valley, the Pereira region, the Tatama National Park ( bird guides: Fernando) and Jardin (bird guides : Guillermo Nagy and dona Lucia). We ended with some urban birding in Medellin and Bogota. We made a series of six short video's according to the different hot spots.
We could succesfully document over 150 species from this area. Since many bird species have a large distribution area while others are confined to some specific locations, in order to avoid overlap, we show most species only once.
Colombia is a beautifull country with proud and very friendly people! We enjoyed our stay.
Identification to the best of our knowledge. For corrections: see comments.

Lol. Your comment section is why I don’t bother naming the birds I film. Great video. Wonderful film and edit. Bravo

A very unobtrusive video that puts the beautiful birds front and center. I thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciate your labeling the birds. Even in terrain and with species we're familiar with, we miss on IDs as birders so corrections are always welcome. Thanks again for the excellent video.

Great videos - I am trying to use them as flash cards for an unpcoming visit to Colombia, so the pause between the image of the bird and the identification is perfect. Might I sugges that the bird at 13,41 is an orange-throated tanager, Wetmorethraupis sterhopteron,

Great video as always, a fantastic birding area. Only one correction: the bird at 11:13 looks like a Rufous-crowned Tody-Flycatcher rather than a Rufous-capped Warbler. Poecilotriccus ruficeps. Thanks for the fantastic content, always making me want to go back to the neotropics!
