Amazing! I'll be too scared to step on those lichens and mosses for fear of destroying them, looks so perfect. Reminds me of the Hebrides... Perfect refuge for animals.

Have the red foxes arrived recently? Ground nesting birds are usually not compatible with red foxes and will emigrate to a place where there are no foxes.

It always gladdens me when I learn of fellow earthlings thriving in a human-rare environment, because it will probably mean there's little of our trash there. Now before someone starts berating humankind for producing trash, please try to remember that all earthlings produce waste and refuse. It's just that in our case, thanks to the rise in popularity of disposability, planned obsolescence, replace v repair & reuse, single use items for improved personal hygiene and public health at large, our refuse stays visible much longer. At least we're now more aware and more of us are paying attention to reducing the unintended consequences. Humans are very good at creating problems that require an entire army of other humans to fix. lol As for climate change, I just want to say... the more I hear that term, or its related iterations, the less I take it seriously. Why? Because too many activistas who are really scam artists (I don't mean you folks) use it to separate us from our money just to conduct feel good theatre. And they do talk a lot. Anyway, as merely a fellow earthling too, not a god of any power level, I've come to realize that I'm not the boss of my fellow earthlings. It's not possible, it's beyond my skillset, to be keeping from extinction fellow earthlings when nature/God (you pick) has seen to it that certain of them are destined to die out, for a host of reasons. That's true for us. There are entire family lines that go extinct, partly because they stopped making enough more of themselves. But when an entire family of humans has no more representatives among us, we don't bat an eye, nevermind ponder how to keep that from happening. Why is that? I know, part of it is the belief that humans are bad for the planet. I used to believe that too. For decades. I'm only now shedding that toxic self-loathing. Hating your own species leads to only one end: self-extinction. But according to certain scientists and naturalists, extinction of earthlings is bad. Ok kids, make up your minds. Apply the Socratic Method to that human behaviour oddity and let's see what you come up with. Because you don't see any other earthlings endeavoring to go extinct. Paz y salud.

The climate change we're living and causing is a hard reality, not a matter of belief.

Why didn't you tell Obama that sea levels are rising? He bought a $15 million ocean-front mansion on an island!
