+Everdeen10 Good shout buddy. Elvis Presley had a similar knack. Check out live versions of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'My Way'. Pity he's no longer with us :(
+SheffieldBeagles no dude she already gots the chills.. I recommend standing in the microwave for an estimated time of 2.5 minutes (depending on the wattage) and don't worry your moms watching wheel of fortune so she won't notice 😊👌
shes like the perfect person to cover this song, because she already sings the same style of music, Birdy and Passenger should duet this together it would be beautiful
You can feel so much emotion in her voice that's what's make her voice perfect. She doesn't have a very powerful voice like Beyonce or Whitney Houston but she's totally unique and she can touch anyones heart just the way her voice is. She's gorgeous.
+Iluvryanbeattyforeva by powerful I meant the range and the power of her voice. More likely the technical bit. She does give people chills with the power of the emotion she has in her voice :)
Check this song out Michael.......it's a thing of great beauty if you appreciate MELLOW material... BREATHE by JASMINE LAMPORT........it can now be googled.
God, can people stop bitching on how she changed the pronouns? Sam Smith changed his on his cover of When I Was Your Man, and I don't see anyone complaining. She's straight, and she should sing the song in the way she's comfortable with. Also, another amazing song by Birdy. Cheers
No one is bitching so much as stating a preference, and no one is saying she shouldn't be comfortable. They prefer the original but no one has slammed her for changing anything 🙃 they still appreciate the music.
I got this impression that all artists from UK are actually very good at live. Birdy, Adele, Jessie j, Ed sheeran, Ellie Goulding, and I forgot the name of the dude who sings "Stay with me"
Just because she's 16 doesn't mean she hasn't dealt with having to let go of someone she deeply cared about. Age doesn't define the amount of love you feel for someone. We all have hearts that pump blood- no matter how old you are, you can love.
I'm lesbian and I would not think that. It would be the proper way to cover the song. But for every artist its different, what their most comfortable with. It would be different if she changed a lot of other words aswell.
+Ellie C ikr, this song always seemed more a female singing about a ma, women love people deeper, they know love much more because they have something grow in them, imo.
Sexism? It sexist to think because a women has something grow in them, they feel connection to other life more? I am a man and I feel this way, how the fuck can it be sexist to think nice things of the other sex.
I am not a fan of Birdy. I love Italian house music. But when a artist puts heart and soul into a song it is art in its purist form. Well done Birdy. I keep coming back. Thank you
Her voice is like loving a monday morning, it happens very often and its rare. Her voice is so pure, rare and beautiful.. Not everyone has a voice like this. I mean like i fucking hate monday mornings and 1% from the people in this world likes a monday morning. Wreird comparision but it seems logic to me.
when birdy covers songs, the original artists must just think ''well we can't do that song anymore, coz birdy has just completely fucking blown our version out of the water'' haha she is incredible
She made me cry, that is the power of her voice. That is the power of music. She doesn't need her age to defy her voice, its as if she spoke to me soul and just let me cry out....
I love Birdy. Her voice always sounds so pure and it never seems like she's straining. I wish she was more popular and showed more mainstream artists how to sing.
"Let Her Go" (originally by Passenger) Staring at the bottom of your glass Hoping one day you'll make a dream last But dreams come slow and they go so fast You see him as you close your eyes Maybe one day you'll understand why Everything you touch oh it dies You only need the light when it's burning low You only need the sun when it starts to snow Only know you love him when you let him go Staring at the ceiling in the dark Same old empty feeling in your heart 'Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast And you see him as you fall asleep Never to touch, never to keep 'Cause you loved him too much But you dived too deep And you only need the light when it's burning low You only need the sun when it starts to snow You only know you love him when you let him go Only know you've been high when you're feeling low You only hate the road when you're missin' home You only know you love him when you let him go And you let him go And you let him go And you let him go And you let him go You only need the light when it's burning low You only need the sun when it starts to snow You only know you love him when you let him go Only know you've been high when you're feeling low You only hate the road when you're missin' home You only know you love him when you let him go And you let him go azlyrics
+Stephanie Hood Rebe never said he doesn't know how Katniss's sister looks like, quite the opposite in fact. You really need to work on your text comprehension skills...
Reading these comments, it's a shame that there are so many saddo's in this world with nothing better to do. Just get a life! ------ Birdy you are amazing! So much talent & tenderness at such a young age.
It's even more beautiful than anybody can ever imagine... Her live performances are just beyond words. I'm afraid of her when it comes to her sensitivity and how much things she had to go through to sing like this...
Smets Tim The song isn't written in the first person. It's written in the third person. He isn't singing about 'I let her go'. I just don't think the lyrics needed changing. But, it's only semantics. The cover is still great.
I had goosebumps the second she started to sing, awesome, awesome, just awesome, and I've just started listening to her n I don't think I'm ever gonna stop
