Bireli looks so funny after Andreas solo, like he just got convinced that Andreas also can play pretty well and are in the same leauge as him. Bireli has some funny looks overall :) Great solos :)
Forgive me, but Gypsy culture is not one that has ever shied away from flash, sparkle, and color. If someone playing Manouche wants to dress up as a Jazz pimp and play a purple guitar, it's his choice, and if he can hold his own, more power to him. Hell, the last time I saw Stochelo he was wearing a silver sharkskin suit.
Guys, come on. Don't be so shallow, you're better than that. It's about the music and not so much the artist or how he looks. It's funny that you even notice it and care, that's one of the reasons many artists are so big, because they're flashy. They wouldn't be if nobody paid attention. Don't feed the flash, feed the fury!
@@manguera9He was sabotaging that gig with John. There's a clip out there with Larry Coryell with the exact same behavior (just before they had a terrible falling out).
All these guys are incredible, but what I don't understand is this: Why is it considered unacceptable to simply lay out during someone else's solo? Sure, there can be interesting counterpoint between rhythm players, but the main thing is that the soloist needs to be heard. Why leave it to some sound tech? The volume should be balanced on stage. I struggled to hear the soloists and it sounded like they were struggling to hear themselves. One guitar string can't compete against 18 others plus the bass!
Haha, alle sind ganz leger/ Schwarz im Einheitslook gekleidet, außer der feine Herr Oberg, der natürlich in Sachen Extravaganz und Stilchaos mal wieder unübertroffen sein musste ;)
Things NOT to do: 1. You don't play Gipsy Jazz on a purple guitar. 2. You don't show up to a gig with Bireli and Stochelo dressed like a pimp (Andreas' jacket, etc.) 3. You don't try to show off in front of the masters with your cheap licks and aggressive chord soloing at the end... Not gonna work... Poor Andreas. "Not bad"...
