Thanks Pete. Remarkable footage. How many times did we go up and down there on the Whitemoor, Fiddlers and Ballast. A virtual forest from Blackpool Street. It always felt a bit eerie back then but with nature back in charge and from the air, it seems somehow quite beautiful. I'm sure it's very different on the ground though! Mark C.
Thought you might have gone as far as Birkenhead north TMD. Still interesting though. The bridge as 0:23 is strange, its like new while the rest of the line is overgrown!
Nice video... although felt as though it could have done with some narration at the start as I nearly switched off because i thought all i was looking at was derelict ground until I saw the narrow portion of trees that I knew was old railway, and could have done with wide angle at that big expanse of trees near the end and it did stop a bit abruptly as there must be more to see.
Fair comment , the whole video is just a video record before the bulldozers moved in , and not meant to be artistic in any way .The tune was just to make it a little more bearable to watch.
