Personally this totally depends on your feet. Also if they are wide or narrow. I got small, but a bit wider feet. I’m normally anything from 42 EU to a 43 EU aka a 9 US to a 10 US depending on the brand. In Birks I had to size down from 42 to 41, as the 42 was way too big/long. I had like a whole size of extra space in the back… why it’s best to try it on in store if you have the chance. I tried the leather version. Very different in sizing compared to the suede. As I could go up to my actual size again as the 41 seems too small. As it should. Also I found them to be really uncomfortable in the beginning, but after breaking them in which took a few wears, they are way more comfortable now. I also have the soft shoe bed version.
