The "tin fronts" in that glorious midnight blue paintwork were what I was obsessed by every time I came to Brum.

They used to have a sister of that Leyland National DOC 26V, DOC 44V, round our way at one time. Quite comfortable it was, as I remember.

Now this is a good video with lots of buses I recognise. Sure brings back the memories. I think I travelled on 1026 once on the 71/72 to Marston Green !
