Dreamland BBQ - love it!!! A California girl working back east a few years ago. Someone recommended it, went back multiple times during my two week work visit. Loved the ribs and chicken.

The pork n greens at Saw's Soul Kitchen is awesome. I always get the smoked sausage and banana pudding at Dreamland. Never been to that food hall, will need to check that out the next time I am in Birmingham and try that butter chicken with plenty of fresh made naan.

Ahh! My lifelong hometown. Next time you’re here, I highly recommend you try the oldest restaurant in Alabama, The Bright Star. It’s about 20 mins outside of Birmingham. I’ve been dining there my entire life. My absolute favorite place in town is Chez Fonfon. Very nice French restaurant that’s home to the best burger in town.

It’s great y’all tried different things at each place. I’ve never tried the shrimp po boy at saws, chicken fingers at Milos, or sausage at dreamland. 😂😂. To me each of those places have one thing I have to get.

Ahhhhhhh Dreamland, my sister used to live in Birmingham, Alabama, I do not like banana’s but I thought their’s was the best banana pudding!!! I love their BBQ also. I had suggested that place one time. Glad you went!! Love that pimento dip and that Po’boy, pork greens and grits looked fabulous!!! Who had the better banana pudding??

When you come back to Vegas you need to go to Taj Palace. Their food is delicious and is authentic Indian food. We love all of the entrees except for the goat, and the Peshwari naan is our favorite. You get to pick the spice level so know that it can be pretty hot. They also serve Indian beers. I want some now.

An intro...YAAAAAY!!! Loved this vlog a lot. I have Saw's BBQ on my list. And just added Dreamland BBQ and Milo's. Those patties looked phenomenal. Also, is there not a better name for a BBQ joint than Dreamland? Question for the both of you. I have never heard of Milo's. Does it stand alone, or does it have any similarities to any other burger joints you have had?

Milo's seems to be a local to Alabama burger chain. They also sell their iced teas at local grocery markets. Their double burger we had was very unique with that brown gravy like sauce, that made it stand out to other typical burger restaurants.

Ha ha haaaaaa! Don't mess with the Whataburger folks!!!!!!!!!! LMBO!!!!!!! Honestly, Whataburger is nostalgia for folks. It really doesn't compete with newer Burger joints. It's that feeling of going back and tasting the same thing you've tasted for many years. What A Burger...........

Your comment made me look it up. Milo's first opened in 1946, so it isn't new. If you have tried any other burger places, how would you rank the ones you have tried? Also, Patrick Mahomes got Whataburger to come to KC. I am super excited to try it

Yeah it’s a nostalgia thing in Texas. For me too. But I agree - it’s just not as good as in-n-out, shake shack, etc.

@@Fantasy23Legend I have never had Milos but it looked amazing! Whataburger is really good, don’t get me wrong. And I still love it, grew up on it, and had it all over this massive state. But I personally think my fellow Texans overrate it. But like Bill and Lisa always say, I am no expert but I know what I like. I definitely agree that Shake Shack is phenomenal! And I will be getting some Milos if I’m ever near one again!!

@@michaelcatt1915 I absolutely agree with you. Every place has a following. I guess I'll just have to sample it myself lol. I will definitely try Milo's if I ever go through. I have yet to try In & Out also. I have shake shack easily over the likes of 5 Guys, Culvers, Freddie's, and your mainstays like Wendy's, McD's, and Burger King. I will say, Wendy's burger is really good if you get them at their most fresh, but it is hit or miss. Don't know if you have ever had Fuddrucker's. That place is legit, although a bit on the expensive side for me

Love the intro!! Artwork by Andrew D is amazing. The area and the food all look so good. I also eat my fries by dunking them in honey mustard when I eat chicken strips. Saw that peach pie from Milos in front of Lisa. Was hoping to see the review on that as peach pie is one of my favs. How was it? Glad you made it home safely. Great video. Now I'm hungry. 🤣

Thanks Yvonne! You saw that peach and apple pies, huh? LOL! We filmed it, but hit the cutting room floor because of run time. Pies were like the OG McDonalds apple pie, deep fried, crispy, and the pie type filling wasn’t too sweet. They were pretty tasty! We are experimenting with this intro. Of course you know Drew the artist and the jingle was written by one of our good friends. Thought it’d be perfect together. Based on comment feedbacks, we’ll see if it returns for future videos. So far, we’ve been reading positive feedback. 😃

Dreamland food changed when they were bought out and began franchising. The original was in Tuscaloosa AL. Just Ribs, white bread and soda or tea. Cash only. When Alabama football game where played the Iines were insane

Loving these Birmingham vlogs.... Moss Rock looks like an awesome hike. I tried curry at a Japanese curry restaurant for the first a few weeks ago, at Coco Ichibanya in Socal. Its was busy! Now I want to try different kinds, like the way there was butter in your plate.
