I was born & lived in Birmingham until I was a toddler(ish) & still have family there I’ve visited for many years. The school Bill named as “The University of Birmingham” towards the beginning of the video is actually named “The University of Alabama at Birmingham”. This is where my parents actually met, working as a Dr. & Nurse Anesthetist, & eventually had me at the University Hospital there. So the name of the school is very important to me. Thank you, Lisa, for giving the correct name of the school at the end, & using its acronym, UAB.

I need to take a trip to Birmingham! The menu at Surin West had so many dishes I want to try that I can't get at local Thai restaurants. So glad we have Insomnia cookies near me. I lived in Bangkok 3 years. Thais don't use chopsticks. Their main utensil is the spoon with the fork that as a means to put food on the spoon. I still eat this way after moving back to Hawaii 5 years ago. My girlfriend is Japanese so she always uses chopsticks.
Do they have chopsticks at Japanese or Chinese restaurants? I wonder what kind of Japanese food people eat in Thailand. Like what is their version of our california roll.
Alabama white is mayo and vinegar. I didn't realize Insomnia Cookies was a chain. I thought it was local. You should tty that pancake place in the background when you ate the cookies.
The wings, baked potato & salad look really good! I can taste it now with Western Dressing on it! The Cod & burgers look good too. Was just watching a youtube channel of a couple that live & travel around Mexico; they've gotten food poisoning 3 times in the last 3 months; they aren't sure if it's from the water or from eating fish. Think I'd give up both, if I were them! Bottled water only for me, even in Vegas!

I love curry/Thai food! That Southern Comfort food from Jim N Nick's looked great! Those burgers looked awesome too and love their theme(Girlfriend In A Coma had me laughing){Smith's song #IYKYK} You guys should go to a Rocket City Trash Pandas game in Madison Alabama, they're the minor league affiliate for the Angel's!
The next time you guys visit Alabama, I recommend Big Bob Gibson BBQ. It is located in Decatur,AL about an hour and 30 minute drive from Birmingham. They are known for their famous Alabama white sauce and they have amazing ribs!
Please try The Original Fish Co in Los Alamitos CA. It’s also a Fish Market and restaurant. There’s also another restaurant next door called Off the Hook. Same owners!! You can have an appetizer at one restaurant and an entrée at the next!
Nice video! I have a question for you guys.. me and my girlfriend are planning on going to Hawaii for the first time in July. We can’t decide whether to go to Maui Or Honolulu (probably Waikiki beach area). What are your suggestions? We are looking for a relaxing vacation with hanging out in the ocean and a nice pool at the hotel. Thanks!
We really enjoy both Maui and Oahu. If you’re into nightlife, Waikiki might be your choice. Oahu will probably offer more activities if that’s your thing too. Maui can get crowded in certain areas, but a more laid back feeling overall. We have several vlogs on Oahu and a couple on Maui if you want to check out. Either way, hope you’ll have a great time in Hawaii.
