Wow that is mental do you think it was alive I've I'm going to have to slow it down and see if I can see it twitch or move it was certainly playing dead Ed and try not to move. That's one clever Fox I just hope it wasn't dead
I have seen several explores of this place but yours is far and away the best for accessing all areas. Thanks for checking out the stage area, so few explorers bother with that aspect of old cinemas. Years ago I heard that an Asian bloke owned the place and was using it to store clothes for his shops.
Awesome i have enjoyed this video I was always wondering if it ever will be explored and it has ... I live in birmingham and I always pass this place I have always been fascinated with abandoned places ... always wondered how palladium looked from inside thanx a ton guys for this exploration .... 👍🤝
Interesting to see the original proscenium arch behind the newer set of curtains. The new arch will have been built in front of the original to allow a wider CinemaScope screen to be installed in the 1950s.
The last time this building saw action was late 60's as the shilling sign and 70's the wallpaper design. The Players sign suggests mid 60's to mid 70's. You also have the retro vintage desk phone and wall phone popular at the time which moved on to more sleek designs in the 80's. Harrington jackets have always been fashionable and had a good fashion spell in the mid to late 70's.
I live around 2 miles from there Matt, back towards West Brom, been over the Hockley Flyover 100's of times , and you know, never ever noticed the building there before, just shows, if it hadn"t been for The Secret Vault, I may have gone to my grave without ever knowing,, will I be having a go?, of course not, too old and knackered, wouldn"t get over the fence for a start off, anyway another fine presentation Matt, thank you
Great place Matt it was fantastic you got to walking along the catwalk ceiling it was amazing to see how it was made so much wood in the making of it and was amazing dry anyway great footage 👍😊
That place had to be beautiful in its heyday, it's a shame because it really looks like crap now. It was a cool building and a great Explorer my friend.
Dunlop Safety Trainers from Sports Direct dude. They are not much heavier than ac actual pair of trainers, and certainly less heavier than conventional safety boots ;-)
When you were getting to the end of the catwalk and i saw the ladder i thought please don't go under that. my superstition would of been on overdrive 👍👍
Theycallme H search the Birmingham Anchor exchange on RU-vid and Google mate, there's loads of information on it. I know where all of the entrances are if you ever want to check it out.
