Brothers, I heard traditionally you would only use your voice for orthodox music, isnt there a rule about it too?

@@user-un1sx8xp2q that is true. “Orthodox Christian metal” here refers to metal music by orthodox Christians, ideally carrying within it and especially within those who play it something of the Orthodox ethos. The same would be true of “orthodox Christian” genre of music. This is not, however, suitable for use *in the Divine Liturgy,* where yes only the voice is used. Everything about the Church’s art, whether in the Holy Icons or in its music is characterized by a continual reorientation toward Christ, which is to say it is characterized by a spiritual sobriety, not exalting the self at the expense of exalting God. This doesn’t make instruments “bad” in and of themselves, it’s just that they’re not given by God to us as appropriate to worship Him liturgically. Same reason that a serious person wouldn’t go in his underwear to a funeral or to court, etc.;it’s not the appropriate context.
