Your video is so well done, thank you for it! It’s like you were speaking directly to me regarding the “ng” sound - was having much difficulty with that one.
Hi Alex, you are welcome and thank you for watching my video :) Most foreigners struggle with "ng" :) Just keep practicing and in no time you'll get used to it.
I just started learning Ilonggo. There is very little online for it... Luckily the alphabet is the same! This helps me a lot. And yes, the Ng is very weird for a native English speaker. Mga, or anything with that sound is just hard for me to get ha ha.
Oh Illonggo! Love their accents. I really mention it in the video because I know a lot of foreigners having a hard time in pronouncing "NG" esp. Westermers :) Thanks for stopping by. I wonder why you are studying Illonggo?
So glad I found your channel! I like your explanations and it's very interesting. I was worried that because I already speak Spanish I'd mix it with Cebuano. But actually it could help... thanks for the info!!
Thank you so much for your videos! You explain and pronounce everything so clearly. My mom speaks bisaya, but never taught me how to speak it, although I heard her speak it everyday and she calls me Inday😊 I want to learn the language so bad so I've subscribed! Can't wait to show my mom what I learned!
You are a lifesaver, thank you so much for uploading! I am trying to learn my mother's dialect before I tackle Tagalog (because I can practice Visayan with my family) and you have been an amazing help.

Better late than never. You have gone more in depth than any other alphabet video I have seen. I was hoping you would sing the Abakada. Salamat for another wonderful video.
Thank you . Hopefully you have a big white board or a clip board or a stand. You have a new subscriber. I need to relearn my Lola passed away an I need this.
Hi Judy. I am new to your videos. My wife is Visayan and I am trying to learn the dialect. I was wondering if you have list of your videos I can go through. Salamat
Hello Andy, Filipino is our national language. Cebuano is the 2nd language mostly spoken around Visayas and Mindanao. There are some slight variations in every island. I am not sure if pure Catalan language is also being used here in PH. Though we have so many borrowed Spanish words in our languages. Which one to study actually depends on your lifestyle and where you normally stay in PH. If you want to live in Luzon it is best to study Filipino / Tagalog. If you stay in Visayas and Mindanao area ask around what language are local people are using. In the Visayas and Mindanao areas also have other languages so it is important to know where you exactly going to spend most of your time. Hope this helps. :) You may directly chat with me thru my site at www.cebuano101.com if you have more questions.
Judy diyAddict omg thank you for replying!!!!! Want I want to write in a card is: “I adore you! I think about you and I miss you always” Seriously, thank you so much for helping. I subscribed and have watched your channel for sometime now.
I adore you - Ginadayeg teka. Kanunay kong nagahunahuna ug mingawon kanimo. Making love letter sounds very traditional Cebuano. If it is conversational, it will be like this: Sige ko og hunahuna ug kanunay kong mingawon nimo. Ginadayeg teka. Ginadayeg - is rarely used nowadays :) Hope this helps.
