Thanks for the information and history Glenn and Amy. I'm learning so much about Arizona after living there for 30 years and not knowing very much. I will soon to be moving back and enjoy your videos so much. Keep them coming. Hope Slim gets more to do also.

I am currently on my first visit to Arizona, but definitely not the last time! There is so much history and downright beautiful scenery to take in and explore.

Tis always an honor to get a guided tour by you Glenn. Yet Amy's research & Editing still makes Glenn's work as good as it is. Sorry Glenn :P

What a great compilation!! The birdcage theater in Tombstone was my favorite! I really enjoyed all of your historical photos. I cant remember if Ive been through Jerome in the past…

Thanks! Now you need to visit Jerome to see if it jogs your memory. Either way, I think you’d love Jerome and it would be a good one to visit for your channel! I barely popped the top on it.

Thanks for another nice historical video. I have fond memories of Jerome when I was a kid. My grandfather used to live in Kirkland Az and my Aunt still lives in Prescott. We would visit during summer vacations from SoCal. I always enjoyed our visits. Arizona has some of the most beautiful deserts in the country. 👍

Very cool! I imagine that was a very fun time as a kid. Then again, getting out and seeing things is always kinda fun as a kid. Always the best memories. Thanks for sharing! 😊

I enjoyed this video very much! Having been to these old towns a couple of times years ago, I feel pulled to go back and see some things I’ve missed that I saw in your video. The courthouse in Tombstone, for one, I’ve never been inside! The museum inside looks great! And there appears to be more open businesses/shops in downtown Bisbee and Jerome than there used to be. Thanks for the review. It’s a long drive from Houston area, but I’ll make it!

The courthouse is a must. It's really packed full of things. And yikes! Houston! Yeah, that is definitely one long drive! 😅 (Did Austin to Phoenix in a day. It can be exhausting. LOL)

It can be a lot of fun. Touristy sections as well as historic ones.

@@CactusAtlas I didn’t realize bisbee was that close…kinda adds a little incentive.

Yup! Just around the corner so to speak. We combined the two in a daytrip from Phoenix once. Didn't really leave a huge amount of time to leisurely wander but it was a nice taste and outing for the day. 😄

Jerome is a neat little town, we arrived there later in the day so we had just enough time to eat and explore a bit before the shops closed and the sun set. We didn’t know about the museum unfortunately, I would have loved to see more samples of the minerals mined there, but I did buy a chunk of copper ore from Jerome. we discovered the fudge shop and candy store!😂 I spent probably an irresponsible amount of money in the rocks and minerals shop and my boyfriend spent on the fudge and candy. Lots of cool artisan shops there. We’re already talking about returning one day
@CactusAtlas
@CactusAtlas 6 месяцев назад
We still haven't checked out the stores yet. One of these days we're going to have to head there and spend time just checking out the businesses rather than filming buildings and history. 😅

When I went to NAU in the 90s, I used to drive to Jerome quite often. It's so much busier now and it's often quite hard to find parking. But now that I live in Tucson, day trips to Bisbee are always fun. I usually end up at the Quarry having a good lunch and listening to their most certainly not old west playlist (Type O Negative, They Might Be Giants, Talking Heads, and other bands who don't start with a T). Tombstone is too tourist-trap for my taste.
@CactusAtlas
@CactusAtlas 6 месяцев назад
Kinda agree about Tombstone to some degree. One of the reasons why we enjoy the lesser visited and more historical things there like the Rose Tree Museum and Courthouse. But what I REALLY have to ask is... how have I missed this playlist?? It sounds quite nostalgic for someone who also was in high school and college in the 90s! 🤩
