That was an awesome trip! Boca Chita is amazing. So close to Miami but still feels like a piece of wild Florida. Good job capturing the sights out there!

Odd that the videos of Boca Chita never capture the loud party crowds that have taken over. Not just weekends either. We found nothing peaceful about this NATIONAL park and NPS ignores complaints. It is truly beautiful and we should all be able to enjoy it.

It saddens me to hear this update and that people don't treasure these places! It was beautiful when we visited and not that way, in fact no one was on the beach as you could see in our video! Thanks for the insight and concern!!

I was just researching this on tripadvisor, and the reviews about the obnoxious drunks harassing the tourists and the garbage is so sad. We decided to take a pass on visiting.

Great video! Arriving early is always a good idea in a National Park. The lighthouse was so pretty. What a lovely location and impressive view on the Miami skyline. The campsites are amazing and not crowded! The music was perfect. New friends 😊

I work for the Honeywell Foundation in Wabash, Indiana. Mark Honeywell owned the island to use for holiday parties. The cannon was fired to welcome guests. They would come over from Miami Beach.

Homestead! On my... I will tell you a story about our one night there someday ha ha! The boat trip made me miss Florida. And now I am trying to figure out how to get our Rpod to Boca Chita. Fabulous job on this one - when you make me want to get on a plane tomorrow, that is a great job!

Been there many times, a favorite! Highly recommend taking mosquito repellent, especially in the summer. Winter not so bad.

I would say November thru March is the ideal time to go there, less bug issues.

Wow 6 am and it was already a lot of boaters! That looks like it was such a great ride. Do they have charters that will take you? We don't have a boat and looks like it would be quite far to Kayak😉 Are these part of the Keys or just named that. Joe always has cool videos. 30 min trip isn't bad. The lighthouse was so pretty! I swear the clouds in Florida never gets old! That campground looks awesome for some primitive camping! Pretty impressive that you could see the Miami skyline!

Boca Chita Key is part of Biscayne National Park. The National Park normally has ferry service over to it, but with covid, you need to keep checking the National Park website for when the resume service! This is not considered they keys yet. They are a bit further down south from there.

There are some vendors approved by the National Park service that do shuttles over, but with Covid, just check the National Park site to see what is running at this time!
