NOTE*** You don’t have to add the salt to the biscuit dough… Maybe 1/2 teaspoon would be perfect in this size batch… I just like the little touch of salt taste in the biscuits when I put honey or jelly on them 😊♥️😊

Isn't she great? I just found her the other day and I just love watching her cook. Makes me feel like I'm at home with family learning new things or new ways to do things that I already do. Real downhome cooking from scratch and no fancy camera work or showmanship. Just a welcoming, friendly fun time in the kitchen!
My grandmother made homemade buttermilk biscuits every single day of her life till she had a stroke. They were the best. She'd always pinch of a bit of her dough and throw it into the buttermilk jug she had in her refrigerator and use it in the next days biscuits

Yesss. Love Breakfast Anytime of the Day & Night. I Love French Toast at Night too. I Am going to Make your Buttermilk Biscuits and compare them to my mama’s. She made hers all the time with Buttermilk and Crisco and All Purpose Flour adding Baking Powder and Salt. She never wrote down her recipe and I still remember how hers taste so I’m gonna try yours soon. I like my gravy plain with sausage patties or bacon on the side. Sometimes I crumble my bacon up and put it on top of my biscuit and gravy and it’s delicious Try that one sometime. I love all your recipes. Love your Upbeat Personality. I Ain’t Scared to try anything. That’s how you learn. I’m 71 years old and I still have a problem making biscuits and buttermilk pancake batter. Maybe sometime you can show us how you do your homemade buttermilk pancakes. That would be nice. My mama used to make homemade syrup out of brown sugar, water, butter and vanilla. It was so good. Nothing says comfort food packed with flavor like Biscuits N Sausage Gravy! You know Talli Faye, when you are grating your butter, once you get down to the part you can't hang on to (at any point really, it keeps it from melting better) you can use a fork to hold it. It sounds icky when it hits the grater but I'd rather hear that than the screech I let out when I grate the skin off my fingers!! I LOVE the idea of a T-Shirt! I bet those will go over so well! Congratulations!
Talli Faye, my first time ever making sausage gravy & biscuits! They turned out perfect! I'm pleased with how everything turned out! We always eat them in restaurants, but I've never made them til' now!

Me too Talli Fay, biscuits and Sawmill gravy. Sausage patties on the side and in the summer have some sliced beefsteak tomatoes to go with it. The gravy is also delicious on top of scrambled eggs. 😅

My mom made what she called "pan gravy". It was bacon fat and flour, milk, sal and pepper. I actually do prefer that over sausage gravy, but I do love sausage gravy.
We are just finishing the awesome coconut cream pie...what a wonderful recipie! I have heard of sausage gravy and biscuits but never made it because i was not sure what kind of sausage to use. I haven't had biscuits and gravy since I was a kid. My husband doesn't like it. His mom never made it here in California.He likes biscuits though. But prefers tortillas.lol I'm going to try this and see if he will change his mind.
I feel ya' Mrs. Talli Faye with sharp things. I bought the kid-set knives and and also bought an adult knife....but that adult knife don't get much action. I'd like to try the sausage gravy. I would see it on the menu at Cracker Barrel but I was skaid cuz I'd never tasted it..... lololozzz... BUT I ain't gonna be skaid no mo'. It Is On.
I make my gravy just about exactly like you do but I’ve discovered a seasoning Goya brand ham flavor. I put about half a packet to a pan full of gravy. It bumps up the flavor. It’s also good in veggies. Love your channel.
That supper looks wonderful. For me, a couple of fried eggs withe it and you are in business! We really enjoy your videos. We have been known to quote you on occasion with "Don't be scared". This is my fav meal. You can use it for breakfast, supper or anytime . On the biscuits can you use regular milk? I have an elderly mom that don’t like buttermilk. On the gravel i don’t grade so when ppl ask me for red recipe i tell them i don’t treasure i just dump lol . I can’t make a little bit i have to have tons of pepper. T my mother in law is from Arkansas and taught me how to bake it and if she didn’t hit have sausage she used hamburger.
Dearest Friend, I also prefer white peppered country gravy just plain. I’m not a sausage fan. I’d rather have crispy bacon on the side. I’ve tried making homemade biscuits but they turn out like hockey puck’s!! 💕🙏🙏 your KeyLime friend
