Well now. I attended City of Refuge for years and Loretta was always right there too. I never thought he would marry her. It took a long time. Loretta is in love and she stayed right there thru it all. I really don't have anything bad to say. She chose to wait and she got what she wanted. I wish them well.

I'm numb and can't feel the happiness that most of you are feeling. Primarily because this lady waited 20 years, 20 long years on a man. I don't understand and maybe it's not for me to understand. A word to all my sisters, please, please don't put your life on hold for anyone for even 3 years.
The most touching part is when Loretta spoke. That prayer was EVERYTHING! A woman should be praying for her pastor and most definitely for her love/future husband. I think there truly is someone for everyone and maybe it took someone to actually pray for his broken heart and all the bravado and actually love him to get him to stop being afraid and heal. She seems happy and very much in love with him. Also, the words Bishop Jones spoke were much more tender than what happened during that proposal. I wish them as many more years together as possible 💕

I love that they had it @ their church, I have seen big fab cakes and big designs, but nothing felt real, this wedding was beautiful and the bride can speak for herself, I have never heard any husband stand up and speak about their wife the way pastor Jones did to her.

You are so on point. There is no happiness at all in her smile. He's not doting on her or attentive to her. She has this look as if to say, "I can't believe this is finally happening...and that I waited this long (or any length of time) for this." For him to not take his new bride up with him when he went to speak, and then the remarks he said were so out of line...so off the wall. Instead of saying that his space is smaller, he should have beamed that his space, his life, his heart is FULL. Of all of those reasons for choosing her, his one and only reason was should have been that he loves her. All of those other reasons could have fit any number of women.
