ToruKun1 well... I'm not racist that's for sure, hahahaha, I love black people, their culture too, most of them are very nice people, at least most of the people I know
I love how they made Boxer a relatable character in this song, someone who even if took many wrong turns in life, in the end is a product of his own reality. Much better than the one-dimensional power-money-greedy usual depiction. Who would like such a character? Lol Beautiful. Great song too :)
To clear up confusion, In Japan the boxer's name is Bison which is an obvious reference to Mike Tyson, The Claw is Balrog, and the Dictator is Vega. Their names were switched in America to avoid a lawsuit from Mike Tyson
For all those who don't know, he is actually based on Mike Tyson. Same goes for Ryu being based on Sonny Chiba aka "The Street Fighter" or Fei Long obviously Bruce Lee.
"I will be the fighter that everyone loves" - I don't understand this line, within the context of Balrog. Maybe it was his original intention, and then he became money/power-hungry?
@Yu Tubaru bruh Vega has the best and saddest story of all of them. He was raised by his mother. She lived in an abusive relationship with his violent stepfather who beat and abused her on regular basis. For she didnt want her son to become like this she told him that his stepfather is an ugly man and that he should never become like him. One day he had to whitness the murder of his own mother by his stepfather, thus becoming traumatized. Needless to say, he killed his stepfather. There even is a 15 minute shortfilm dedicated to his background on youtube. Sorry for the novel =d
Barlog's Story is a sad one. He was the heavyweight champion but because of performing too many dirty moves in his last fights, they stripped him of his title. He started to work for Shadowloo in order to keep up his extravagant lifestyle. It's another version of Floyd Mayweather minus the criminal element.
