Bison Working Day at Crane Trust 

Each winter, our team works the Crane Trust bison herd. In December 2023, a dedicated team worked hard for a long day to safely move 170 bison through a low-stress system to tag, weigh, genetically test, monitor, and sort the animals. Learn more at bit.ly/CTBison...
On nearly 10,000 acres of land, the Crane Trust works to research, develop, and implement land management practices that maintain native environments and provide habitat for countless species sharing fragile river and prairie ecosystems. Crane Trust bison are reclaiming a keystone role in the prairie ecosystem to help in these efforts.
