@@cruz2102 exactly! Most professional boxers fight nobodies for their first 10-15 pro fights, even the greats, unless you have a crazy amateur background like Usky or Lomachenko. Instead of fighting no name tomato cans down in Mexico to build up his record, he's fighting low level opponents who are known names and making alot of money. In 5 or 6 fights he really should be stepping up to fight competitive opponents, but for now he's doing alright. He might have alot of money to pay for training etc, but even having all that money and training doesn't get you anywhere without some athletic ability. He's not as bad as people would like to think. He is a bit of an ass, but he's making money, and he's learning.
@@Paulie7777 your first few pro fights you're fighting guys with on average 30-40 losses and 0 wins. It's all just a confidence booster. You may get one who can hit hard every so often, but these guys are quite often just taking an easy couple hundred bucks to get punched a couple times then lay down in the first round. You won't even compete for a regional belt until you've got at least 12 fights. In 2 years time if he's still fighting ex mma guys or old guys then OK that's wrong, but for now, why not make a million dollars beating someone who's not that good, instead of making no money fighting someone of the same level? You wouldn't be able to name any one of any great boxers first 10-15 opponents (unless they've been long term amateurs in wsb). Most fighters don't even get scheduled in a 12 round fight before 15 pro fights. Just because he's so well publicised and making alot of money, doesn't change the fact that he is still very inexperienced in terms of professional boxing.

Since they're boxing, not bare knuckle, I think Jake Paul wins this fight. Jake has a pattern of fighting smaller fighters- this is no exception. Jake knows he has a natural advantage in size. He fought Askren (a wrestler) who used to compete at 170 lbs... Woodley (also a wrestler), who always fought at 170 lbs... Diaz that went back and forth between 155 and 170 lbs... now he's fighting Perry that used to fight at, you guessed it: 170 lbs. He used to call out Conor that had most of his success at 145-155 lbs... Jake is a 210-230 lbs man that seemingly has never cut below 183 lbs, with most of his fights being at 200 lbs. He literally takes fights with people that are typically smaller than him and past their prime. Admittedly, he fought Anderson Silva who traditionally fought at 185 lbs, but is now 49 years old... the only time he fought someone close to his own size that was similar in age was Tyson Fury that beat him. The dude always has an angle to take on fighters that he has a size/age advantage over. So, I think he wins this fight, but not because of skill, only because he's a substantially bigger man. Despite the fact that he calls out MMA fighters all the time, notice he never calls out anyone close to his size that isn't past their prime... no mention of Alex Pereira (185-205), Sean Strickland (now at 185), Dricus Du Plesis (185), Izzy (185), Jon Jones (205 & HW), etc. He knows if he calls out someone close to his size that isn't a decade past their prime, he'll get exposed badly and the show will be over.
I love Perry, and he should 100% KO Jake. However, he is still 185 lbs vs. Jake being a cruiserweight. Also, I think Perry would possibly take a bag for the fight since he's already accomplished so much in combat sports, and in the end, the whole Jake Paul boxing is purely entertainment at this point.
What an odd replacement....spectacle for spectacle. I'm not sure I would respect a Perry loss, considering the size difference.
