just shows you how overrated Bisping was. hendo was ranked #12 at lhw and GSP was coming off retirement. Bisping wasn't a good champ and was hella overated
@@j-wei4603 he wasn’t really overrated. He was an obvious underdog to win the belt. He was just a scrappy, big hearted, clean contender for years. Then just capitalized on his opportunity against rockhold
Bisping getting knockdowned(s) & still coming back and keeping up the pace to secure a win. The man was practically fighting blind once his left eye swelled up. He may not have been the most gifted or skilled fighter but the guy sure had a lot of heart. A true legend
JEEEZE I always heard about Hendo losing this last fight but wow he really can still catch someone at 46 with one hand and make even a champ fall. That really is some skill. Love em both. Also Kudos for releasing this video on the October 8th when UFC 204 happened in 2016. Cool
Barely got through the fgh with Hendo at 46 dude.. then gt koes by a welterweight.. lol simmer down with the trash talk. Bisping is ad wasa good fighter but nowhere close to the best. That's just the truth.
Watched this fight live, back when I was first getting into MMA, I cheered for my fellow Brit Bisping at the time, but man in hindsight I was lucky to witness the last fight of an absolute legend like Dan Henderson.
dude! I been watching hendo since pride was a thing, the fact you saw him and I never did makes me so jealous haha, you even got to see the count too Props to you man that’s awesome. 2 hall of famers man, id save that ticket if I were you!
32:13 I absolutely love the British audience all singing "Whoo-hoo" in unison during Bisping's walkout.
Another awesome Larone video once again! Dude has literally Never uploaded a bad video on this channel in my opinion, they're all strong vids that were really well put together with really accurate editing that perfectly tells the story and events before during and after that particular fight. Imo the best ufc/mma videos on RU-vid and if someone wants to come along to challenge that then they've really got their work cut out for them because the videos on this channel have serious quality aswel as quantity. Great work Larone I hope u keep them coming and there's many more to come in the future mate. Much love from England 👍🏻
@@vishalparihar1230they were all on TRT at that time, it was legal up until like a year or so before this fight. Silva , Belfort, Sonnen, Yoel etc were all in TRT. It was Bisping & Weidman who were fighting clean which should be respected.
Any long term UFC fan has got to recognize, Bisping as a champion both in and now out of the octagon. I hope he continues on his path of success, he truly deserves it..... As far as being tough, fighting with one eye says it all.... The count 🦇 Bisping
Nope. Weakest and worst champ in history. Henderson won both fights and in the second one rearranged his soft little English face. American style baby we will never let the clown I mean the count out Bisping forget. He lost twice to Henderson everyone knows this
Damn you missed the 10-8 burn Hendo said. Bisping taunting Hendo "This belt stays right here buddy." Hendo "Thats fine, they give you a new one when you win anyways." Bisping "fairplay. Not bad for a old man."
The roar of the crowd when Bisping is announced, "And Still", great moment for a great guy, a real people's champ. And the respect the crowd showed for Hendo - what a great night.
nobody is doubting it's 3-2 Bisping. The problem is that the england judges gave 10-9 to those 2 rounds that Hendo won. At least one of them was 10-8. Maybe even both of them. That's why it's a robbery.
He really chose Henderson(12) as his first defense... when there were killed in that division... they just get overlooked... all because Bisping wanted to avenge a loss
UFC chose Henderson...not Bisbing. And the reason? Obvious, a story and selling ppv. Yoel was also suspended i think. And i believe that Dana wanted this exact outcome. Because Bisbing could really move the scales
Yoel Romero was serving a suspension at the time for PED’s. For Whitaker, keep in mind Wonderboy KO’d him at UFC 170 which was a year & some months before. Whitaker moved up to middleweight and was on like a 5 fight win streak at this time and was definitely getting close. But Bisping still ended up having to fight the GOAT GSP anyway. Who had won 13 Titles & deserved to fight for the belt more then anyone. Give Bisping Credit, he fought nothing but the absolute best guys for over 10 years. Still holds the record for most wins at Middleweight.
What are you talking about bisping never cherry picked shit either Yoel was suspended someone was hurt or not deserving yet and don’t forget this dude literally fought gsp so how exactly is he “choosing” easy fights the bisping hate in this comment section is crazy let me see y’all win any fight let alone at the highest level with one eye
The first time i saw Bisping on TUF i liked him, but i kinda thought of him like a simple guy, the hooligan type. I was wrong about that. The dude is such a likeable and humble human being in addition to being a hell of a hard worker and one of the best middleweights in the UFC ever.
Do not think Hendo was robbed cuz the first 2 rounds were 10-9 due to numbers being close...later 3 rounds are clearly for bisping... but man did both show heart...Hendo deserves a lot of respect even in defeat and Bisping showing both heart and superior cardio and skills... 2016 is one of the best years in combat sports (2022 is looking better though)
@@risottonero4501 the knockdowns in rd 1 and 2 so he won them both by 10-9...and Bisping was winning every round of the fight until he got caught...I don't think it should be controversial it's so clear that Bisping had it 48-47 but all respect to Hendo who tested Bisping's heart at 46
Dude I’ve been meaning to comment for so long now not like you don’t have a whole comment section who loves you! But bro thank you for such great content I watch it literally everyday for about a year and a half now
Bisping ducking Yoel caused Yoel not having a belt but it also made GSP come back. I'm very mixed with this fight. I mean this is also a controversial split decision
@@josiahgonzalez942 the worst champ was gdr by far. Bisping lobbied for the gsp fight but so did everyone else. They only gave it to bisping after tryun threw 50 strikes in a 5 rounder that went to decision and was so piss poor was declared a draw. Romero's lack of a ufc title is his own doing. They gave the man 3 chances and he couldn't make weight and then had a sleeper against izzy and did nothing but stick his tongue out for 3 rounds against costa
Yoel not being a professional was what cost him the belt he had 4 chances 1 against rockhold which he would have won the interim belt in if he had made weight the second whittaker fight which to be fair he lost clearly but the second whittaker fight the decision would have been given to him if the judges weren't petty for him missing weight and you cab say that he was robbed against adesanya but at the end of the day he fucked it against rockhold
@@josiahgonzalez942 He’s just like Eddie Alverez. Got a lucky knock out victory after beating zero contenders and never defended. This does NOT count as a defense lol. Dan was 46 and ranked 14.
Yup , his eye from the Alan Belcher fight and on was definitely noticeable, especially when he goes to hug his son with his right arm after he beat Rockhold
Henderson defeated legends like Fedor, bisping, vitor belfort, wanderlei silva, renzo gracie, hector lombard but sadly never won a belt in ufc thats crazy, i genuinely think he got robbed in second fight with bisping Dan Henderson the legend killer😎
In my opinion the only belt holders i would consider to be “world champion” are from wec, ufc, pride fc,strikeforce & bellator and I’m pretty sure henderson has beaten more former world champions than almost anyone He beat former champs lombard, bisping, wanderlei, bustamante2x ,shogun2x,babulu2x, fejio, beltfort, newton,Franklin and even big nog and fedor i know he doesn’t have any title defences but he’s a 2 weight 3 time champion and his unbelievable resume alone earns him a spot in my top 10
I saw Hendo and Shogun Rau fight live in San Jose. Unbelievable throw down that had to cost both men permanently. I thought Hendo won the second fight against too. Turned out to be Bisping's only title defense as GSP came out of retirement after four years, went up to middleweight/185 and strangled Bisping. Then Bisping fights Gastelum three weeks later and gets stretched in the first round and was smart enough to retire.
Even though Hendo lost I believe he is one of the best ever a lot of his loses came at an age when most guys are retired already. And he still beat some big names when he was past his prime. I put Dan in my top 10 MMA guys of all time!
Lucas has the most cursed predictions...He thought Luke , Silva and Hendo are gonna win and GSP was gonna lose lol poor Mike he should have seen it coming
Back when bisping first came to ufc and was moving up the ranks I was telling people this is the guy who will beat Anderson one day. However he was derailed several times but he never gave up and fulfilled the prophecy. Took on all comers and avenged 2 of his big losses. Bisping one of the last of the real. Much respect. And I still think he beat Chael.
That H bomb was pound for pound the hardest punch ever landed in a fight I think 😂 I’d even put it over that upper cut Francis sent Alistar to the moon with. That H bomb looked like a hundred mile hour fastball u could hear his jaw split 😂
Bisping got the decision, Henderson CLEARLY won that fight tho. Just look 👀 at the Damage on Bispings mug!!!!! Ouch! Hendos face, couple scratches. Give the man his belt !
How Bisping fought with his one good eye just about swollen shut is beyond me. Say what you want to about him now being a ufc yes man the guy had some balls to say the least. If Dan was 6 years younger that would've been another KO win. Surely must've still been on the old trt, though.
Doesn't change the fact Bisping still ran away from Yoel Romero and chose an older opponent as his first defense. But we got to see Hendo rearrange that arrogant brit's face one more time.
I don't get how the numbers work because if that was ufc 199 and was absolutely ages ago then how tf is the next ufc event in October ufc 208? There's been WAY more than 9 ufc's since the bisping and rockhold fight, so....? It must be me being a dumbass because I really don't understand it can someone explain to me because I Am Confusion!
They’re not all numbered. You will see “UFC Fight night” or “UFC on ESPN” as the title for a lot of them. The numbered events are pay per view and pretty much always have big names fighting
This was a robbery. It should've been a draw or a win for Hendo. The first 2 rounds were 10-8 for me. Bisping is one of the worst and luckiest UFC champions ever. Got a bunch of lucky close decision wins, got a lucky title shot on short notice, won the title with a lucky punch against a guy who already beat him in their first fight. Called out Yoel and Jacare (scariest 185ers) and criticized Luke for "avoiding" them (he never did). He ended up being the one avoiding them and fought an old unranked Henderson in his one and only title defense. Got his face caved in and a robbery win. Fought "the midget" much smaller than him GSP in his next fight, got dropped and chocked out.
@@mikeoxmaul9386 I saw the fight the way it was. If you disagree with me then please present your argument instead of babbling about things that make no sense and using emojis.
If you had only said that first part about the actual fight then it would be a debatable point but going into an unhinged rant about how one of the fighter's whole career is just lucky shows that you are basing it on a bias, the fight was in bisping's favor due to significant strikes landed It would be like a juror saying he found a man guilty because of evidence and then making a statement about how he personally hated the defendant, you can't have an objective opinion when you go on to trash one party, you exposed your bias Also I'm sorry that emojis upset you
@@mikeoxmaul9386 I made my point about this being a robbery and objectively explained why. After that I also shared my opinion of him as a champion overall and his title run (not his whole career as you wrongfully said). What’s wrong with that? I cannot have an opinion about him? And how does my “rant” about him “destroy my case”. I did not mix the two things. First I talked about this specific fight and then (separately) I talked about him. Like I said, if you have an argument about what I said then I would like to read it. But you don’t. You just keep the focus on me and not my points by repeating that I’m bias. And I don’t mind the emojis as long as there’s an argument with them. Just putting that 🤦♂️emoji alone without a valid argument behind it seems just a weak way to ridicule somebody and feeling like the winner of a conversation (which we haven’t really started yet).
The ufc set that fight up on the night of ufc 199 as bisping won the title and with hendo getting that viscous ko of Hector Lombard. Dana wanted that fight, Michael didn't ask for it.
Bisping convincingly Won 3 rounds But Hendo Dealt significantly more Damage to Bisping in the two rounds he Won. Might be Time to rethink the Judging Criteria
How can you score a fight on "damage" exactly? Do you assign points based on every cut or the amount of blood from a cut? What about people like nate diaz who bleeds easily? Does he lose every fight he's in?
@@mikeoxmaul9386 there got a be a Clear metric to judge damage blood/Cuts aren’t a great indicator of course because some people have more scar tissue than Others. Iam Thinking a system where we Judge over all Damage instead of whi dealt the most in a round by round bases
