Bit Brigade slams it out as castlevania has its digital donkey handled. Then suprise guest challenger Contra appears to experience deliverance by the skilled hand of the stalwart band. A breathtaking feat of survival... and ROCK!!!
I really appreciate that the NES gaming experience master waited on Contra Stage 2 Boss to allow the song to complete instead of railroading it as fast as he could. What a professional.
You guys put on a hell of a show, I'd highly recommend Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge - for a game boy game I personally think it has one of the best soundtracks of the whole damn franchise. I think you guys would wail for the New Messiah and Original Sin tracks. Much respect.
Right?! It's so funny how as children we take music at face value and just jam to it either way, I know my brain certainly didn't register those bars of 5/8 and 7/8 that they sprinkle into that track. Konami in general were as you say masters at throwing in some odd meters here and there without it being jarring at all. Godlike!!
+MrOlzari1 I havent really noticed that, but what would be awesome is if anybody could get the files from/ record from the board!! It would take it to the next level. I love these guys and the videos, but the audio is always from a goddamn camera. I want their live tracks! And who ever is running sound at mag fest needs another over head mic lol
I'm also in a video game cover band and a lot of the NES tracks are all over the place on the guitar, mostly in the high end. It's hard to keep good intonation throughout the whole neck of the guitar.
What BB does better than other video game bands (although they should do more of it) is incorporate different tonalities throughout their performance. They don't pump it up to 11 on every song constantly, they have crescendoes and decrescendos when necessary to capture the mood and atmosphere, instead of just 45 minutes of thrashing. Their moody cover of Red Brinstar on Metroid is a good example.
this makes me miss my Nes so badly, too bad it died like 3 years ago, after my lil brother didnt knew how to insert a game so he started hitting the console and it died ;(
This is making me thing of Gauntlet which also had killer music- the tengen original. The second one was only cool if u had four friends and the four score
I wonder why people don't use the Rapid weapon in contra, I saw AVGN with mike avoid all the Rapid and now this guy. However your Spread turn so fast with all the Rapid
