This is a 12 year old Icelandic Gelding. His former barn was closing, so he and his mate are boarding at Bobcat Farm bobcatfarm.com/ until a spot opens up at his new barn. While he is here his owner wanted to make use of my training services. I'm so happy she did as we are tweaking a few things. (Loading on the trailer is one of those) In watching a few other videos on bitless bridles to come up with a title for this one, I listened to more than one ignorant "trainer" and a few horse owners claim that bitless hurts just as bad since the horse's nose is sensitive Yes it is, but not a sensitive as the inside of the horses mouth. Please, please don't blow smoke up my hindquarters. I just had a new partial made for a few of my bottom back teeth. The pain is so bad! my dentist told me please just give it a week. I was screaming (quietly) in the dentist office. She said "They are not even all the way in yet"!, I said "It's hurting my gums" I've tried and tried. even after she beveled the area that was putting pressure. I'll have to go back. I can eat steak, peanuts and the like all on my gums, but add a ill fitting partial (bit) on top of those gums I am screaming, I can't stand it, if the same pressure was put on the bridge of my nose, you bet I could handle it. There is NO comparison. The bit can cause severe pain in educated hands never mind when were are teaching, or students are learning to ride.
