I still go back and watch the introduction video when risey and uniek met. To see her trotting on the spot in excitement just melts my heart such a beautiful moment xx
I can’t help myself I too go back and watch, cry and rejoice. She is a true Queen and he a Prince. Both will always be my favorite. Can’t wait for Uniek to have her foal. I just know all will go well.
I also go back frequently to watch it. It was my introduction to the herd & I fell in love with Queen Uniek, Rising Star, Yvonne, Rein, & the rest of the critters and humans at Stal G. Went back to watch all previous videos and always look forward to this little slice of Friesland.
omg Johnny is just full of himself :) I can sit and watch the 3 Musketeers play..the little prince has learned how to cover his legs from getting nipped :) The Musketeers are growing up fast and getting tall. Sure do love them. Hope when they are moved out you will still every now and again video them. This was a good video and an informing one.
Yes, Johnny is a real crazy dragon, like you say, draak. If i would buy a horse, not a stallion. Problems with other stallions and problems when they see a mare in heat. Johnny don't like sjors and the colts. He's realy to wild, and so smal and strong. He's only a pony, so a real stallion is much more stronger. That's the reason yvonne teach all thf horses to respect her. 💞
Yes I wonder what the plan is with Risey if he is not being kept for breeding purposes, but rather for sporting events. The life of a stallion is not always a fun one.
@@mynamename5172 much people prefer stallions because they should be better in all the competitions. That's why rein want to have one day a model stallion. Everybody want to breed with classified stallions. I think yvonne will wait to see the evolution of risey. His mom was a dressage horse. But i hope he will be able to do eventing. Time will tell. 💞
@@joannesmartens9442 Stallions obviously have individual personalities, and are of course necessary for stud books. But if you aren't going to breed a horse I would geld it. I personally found stallions to be a pain in the butt in competitions, they all do "Johnny time" now and again, it is their job in the horse world. My ranking of generic horses for eventing would be (best to worst) gelding, mare, stallion. For instance, Valegro is a gelding and the best dressage horse in the world, maybe of ever.
@@mynamename5172 don't agree: Jessica von bredow with her mare dalera( i think) is better than charlotte dujardin in dressage. Jessica won already a few times to charlotte, but indeed he's s gelding. Of course a gelding is easyer, but you can never breed with them. I don't know the price of insemination and how many money go to the stallion. But i believe there are stallions who won millions only with breeding. Thanks for your answer.💞
@@joannesmartens9442 It is true there are no stud fees from a gelding, and it is important to maintain the bloodlines so some stallions are required. Dalera is an absolutely gorgeous mare (and she has another gorgeous mare too, I forget the name), and I think both Jessica and Charlotte are marvelous riders. When I think of dressage stallions I of course think of Totilas, what a tragic tale that was. Good thing all the horses of Stal G seem happy and well cared for, I guess we will just have to wait to see what Yvonne decides for Risey. He looks very sporty. Cheers!
Four years ago, I had to give up my horses due to illness. I miss them so much. Every morning they would be standing in front of my patio window waiting (impatiently) for their breakfast! Your site has given them back to me! I can almost reach out and stroke them, and to see them playing together in the arena brings back so many memories of my own horses. Thank you so much!💞☺
Oh my gosh!!! I could watch the boys play all day. And what really made me laugh was how Rising Star got down on his front knees. He is also quite the "thinker". How he would rough house, gallop away, stop and think about his next plan of attack, then run back to the other boys. Thanks for the big 😀
Rs is curious about whats in the breeze too. A curious colt. Pieter is probably less fighting playful because he was much older when he left his mom. Mom must have said no to him often, once inculcated, his response is a little more inhibited. OR Maybe as animals ( too young to actually fight) have a good sense of fair play, he wants to share Rinse Janko, Or ....a least this is a comment, ..which helps out! 😂
I think that RS was only one day old, if even one full day, when he was adopted by Uniek. He was immediately rejected by his mother, and had to have a new one right away. I think that he was possibly only about 12 hours old when he was adopted by Uniek.
I like seeing Risey gaining confidence against the two older colts. He tells them "don't ignore me!". It is good to see them engage in normal bachelor behavior, developing their stallion fighting skills through play.
Doesn't matter the age, Rising Star is standing his ground despite being the youngest. He will let the others know his authority. You can tell royalty and athleticism are in his blood. Queen Uniek (Risey's foster mom), Ziffora (Risey's late mare) and Cachet L (Risey's sire) would be proud.
Rising Star looks more like Sjors in this video than before. Thank you for informing us about the younger female horses and breeding. They are typical teenage boys--wrestling and biting at each other. Which of the three colts is dominant?
WOW...Awesome. April 1st film date. We have had some film of the colts, but this an extended play session. I have been reserved to rank the colts prior to this. Today, IMO, Rising Star is Top Gun. 😤 Rinse Janko #2 and Pieter # 3. The first I have seen the colts use the kneeling tactics...this is very important in surviving a real fight. Risey is particularly keen in the play fighting with kneeling, rearing and also biting of the legs. (the horses legs are their vulnerable spot, injury there is often the difference of survival) Thank you so much for this upload today Yvonne. Thoroughly enjoyed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
@@LindaEll89 Exactly. I was going to make another comment on the girls. Our Mathilde "officially a young lady" now. 😬 How time has flown by. BTW, My opinion has only grown stronger on Matty...She is one fine looking 2 year old. Conformation is superb already. Little more height, muscle and we have another ⭐🤞 Of course the other young ladies are gorgeous too, so we are spoiled.
Rising Star is abruptly more aggressive and precise than the others; when he came in to play, that's when the intensity amped up. I've noticed that Rising Star is more outdoorsy, he likes to flap his wings and does not feel as confident inside a shell.
Whoa, Johnny!!! He sure was in a mood when he came inside! 😵💫. Loved seeing Risey playing with the other colts. He has gotten tall and his mane is long now. He is flourishing, and I'm so glad to see that. ☺
Look at that BEAUTIFUL Bridle Johnny has on from a viewer, he knows he's a good looking pony. In a previous video I was astonished how tall the girls Sanne and Reina had grows so I suspect the boys are bigger. Love how RS protects his legs by going to his knees, CLEVER BOY!
Love watching the boys play. Can't believe Rising Star will be a year old soon. It seems like not so long ago I watched him being brought to Queen Uniek as an orphan foal. He has surely grown and becoming a beautiful strong stallion. All the young foals are growing so fast. I didn't realize filly's go into heat so young. Pretty soon the stable will be filled with the next generation of foals. Can't wait to meet them. Another great video, Yvonne!!
@@colleenmcdermott5492 It's not just $$$$. There is a lot of love and hard work that goes into breeding these beautiful horses. There is a great deal of expense to the owner. You don't own horses without expending your own blood, sweat, and tears.
Johnny cracks me up! He’s naughty!! RS is so handsome and confident. All the horses are beautiful but RS has a special place in my ❤️. I love to watch them play!
Uniek is a beautiful mum to Rising Star. Now Rising Star is bigger does Uniek and Rising Star visit each other? Do they remember each other? Love to see a video of them together in the paddock! This has been such a beautiful story of Mother and adopted Baby! How they both healed each other’s hearts ♥️
I can’t believe how big and strong RS has grown up to be. Such a beautiful boy 🐎. I see the Stallions like the Mares special yearly perfume when they’re in Season. Just like my Golden Retriever’s. They urinate all over the place to leave their “phone number” for all the males to call 📞 them to let them know I’m in heat and available. 🤣. We usually wait until our females are 2 to 3 years old before mating as well. You have such beautiful 😍 horses 🐎🙏🏽❌⭕️😇
Still watching and still praying for Yvonne a speedy recovery we miss you and all them beautiful horses. I have been watching since rising star came, it’s my daily relaxing time. Hurry back, we miss you
There's a part near the end where Senna seems momentarily deep in thought (thinking Senna thoughts. What might they be? 😄) As for Risey, he looks like he already knows many of the stallion fighting strategies. Love dog & young stallions both 💕
Goodness, Johnny was feeling every bit of himself that day! 😳😂👍🏻 Senna says, “Do what Yvonne says and get outside, horses!” 😘 So fun watching the colts-Risey is looking very nimble and athletic! 🐴❤️ And speaking of ear, eat, eat, there’s Queen Uniek, lol! 😂💖
Rising Star moves so beautifully. I love watching him. He is very quick, sure-footed, and stops and turns on a dime. His natural instincts are strong and so fine. He is going to continue to enthrall me with his movement. He is a gorgeous horse with great potential. Plus he's simply adorable. A Colorado Mountain Grandma, USA
What will happen to Rising Star will he be kept as a Stallion or be gelded? He’s such a beautiful sweet adorable cute handsome little fella. I love all the horses each is special and has a special place in my heart. What are the plans for the other horses? Unique looks like a spitting image of Pake Sjors!!
It’s so great to see the colts play but lol Risey gets right down on his front legs knees bend 🤣 But he can turn so quickly and run rings round the other two ! He’s very agile which will show us that he will be a great show jumping horse ! But it’s lovely to see how all the horses react to the snow . OMG Johnny is a handful !!! He really likes to kick his back legs up at the horses ! I bet you really had to pull him hard to get him back into his Stall ! 💐🇬🇧xxx
Wow Risey is getting to be a very handsome stallion. They all look great. You all do such an excellent job handling them. I love watching your channel it brings me such joy.
It's so great to see the "Boys" play around. RISING STAR sure enjoys being with his buddies. They are all growing up so fast. You're doing a fantastic job with them ! America loves you and your horses ! 🇺🇸💙🐎🐎🐎
I agree! I'm in the SW Desert(Arizona) and this is such beautiful country and I enjoy these videos. The horses are magnificent! I've never owned horses, never ridden, unless you include my uncle putting me on a Shetland pony when I was 3-yrs-old!😅 My aunt has a farm in Iowa but she's 86-yrs-old & alone now and had to get rid of her horses a few years ago. It broke her heart! I shared the story of Rising Star & his mama with her. My aunt has nursed a lot of babies back to health! What kind of horse is Rising Star? TIA
The boys have grown so much, RS is going to start looking awkward lol his length of neck is really showing now, and you see his rump already becoming higher than his wither. Their playing is good for balance and better to use all that energy than turn aggressive :)
I think on RS's birthday we need to do a comparison of him from his first day to his first birthday or even a recreation of his first walk down the aisle at stall g.
Yes, Rinse Janko is easy for me to remember . . . His is the day after mine😃, but I always have to go to description about Risey. The 24th? The 25th? It is also my anniversary for FRIESIAN HORSES!
It is a joy to watch your beautiful horses and to see Rising star and the other foals have grown so much 😀 so nice 👍🏿 please continue to look after all them well 🙌🏿😊
The boys have gotten so big and growing into beautiful stallions! I remember RS when he first came and was an orphan till he met Uneik! Such a wonderful stable!
This was a great video Yvonne! They are all growing up so fast! RS is fast and nimble and quite confident. I wonder later what his sport might be? It was nice to see Johnny too and Senna being the guard...I loved that shot of her at the end walking through the stable. Very nice and happy to see all the horses pretty much today!
@@FriesianHorses poor guy, he's doomed. not allowed to just be a horse in a HERD. They dont like jumping, how many people been thrown off? They dont like it, sorry. Look at the late Christopher Reed.......
Beautiful start with the lovely young Ladies jumping and playing with their manes flowing in the wind! I am such a fan of Marijie, she is adorable ❤ And then there's the Italian Stud Stallion Johnny, he was in fine form 😀 He is always so fun to see! The teenage boys sure enjoyed themselves, Risy has gotten so tall and has a defined muscular look! Watch out for him, he is a born leader! Love seeing Senna, too, she is so cute and always so happy ❤🐾 Thank you for sharing this video, it was so fun to watch 💙 Xoxo
See how curious RS is about the ❄️ snow. Remember when curious he kept bouncing the weed flower with his foot? He ‘s good with the ball. A little colt-scientist! So sweet. Remember when they put up an enclosed square space for ...Antenna for cell? And they were all curious - especially Risey. So sweet!
Is it always cold and fierce there? I thought you had moderate weather in the Netherlands, but I see a barren landscape. But I do respect your care for the horses, and thank you for sharing with us. It's a joy to watch. Amazing that is Rising star! So big and strong! His new mother should be proud.
We do have moderate weather in the Netherlands for the most part. This was filmed in last April and it’s not common that we have snow in April. We even sometimes have winters without any snow at all. (Yvonne2 Moderator 🇳🇱🌷)
Seeing the boys playing together is so cute! Risey sure does know how to hold his own! I love how calculated he is with placing his knees on the ground, its graceful as well. :) They are getting so big!!!!! I loved seeing Johnny coming in and trying to show everyone who is boss. Sjors didn't seem to worried but the colts were all a little uncertain while Johnny was visiting the ladies. Another great video Yvonne
My first video was when i think queen lost her colt. Then comes the beautifully named rising star. Iam so happy to be a new subscriber to watch RS grow and florish among all the other beautiful horses. These videos give to me a sense of peace and happiness! ❤️🙂
I can't believe how big they've all gotten. Rising Star's wide eyed look of "oh no! oh no! Brakes! Brakes!" when he almost ran into you had me cackling. I never noticed that little white streak coming up from his belly on the one side before. With him getting so grown up it's hard to decide which he looks more like, his sire or dam.
Risey is showing his warmer blood, literally running circles around his heavier-built, taller (a bit!) playmates! Then practically charging into Yvonne! He surely was burning off some energy. The boys are playing pretty convincing stallion games. It would be scary, but none of them are covered with blood or bite scars. (Thank goodness!) How they are growing up! What fun it is to watch them! And how naughty of Mathilde to "flirt" so brazenly with those boys! Between her and Klaske, the colts are having quite an exciting time! Crazy Johnny indeed! I understand why he was mean to Sjors and the colts, but why the fillies? Just making sure the girls know who is the real stallion at Stal G? He was not acting like a 20-year-old this day! A question: the date of this video is noted as 1-4-2022. In the U.S., that would mean January 4, but if I understand the European usage, it means April 1. Is that right? Thanks for another great video!
Yes, correct. It's Day.Month.Year in Europe. We had a very short cold spell at the beginning of April and even some snow for a day or two (which hardly ever even happens in winter around here, otherwise). It's usually quite spring like with the spring flowers out already at this time of year.
They have all grown!!! Rising Star is absolutely Georgeous,a very rich color. He can hold his own ,though he is still the smallest of the 3. Amazing watching him down on his knees and then rising up again. He was so happy running ,his tail straight out flying in the wind. Love them all but have special place in my heart for Rising Star. xxx
They know how to play and Rising Star is amazing .Seems like only yesterday he was a tiny orphan .His fortune cam in the form of a wonderful new mom ..
Just found your channel an I just love your content I loved binge watching rising star an the queen she is definitely my favorite thank you so much you have amazingly beautiful horses
Great slo-mo of RS dropping to his knees to get in some 'bites.' Maybe it's his white 'knee socks' and 'leggy' build, but he reminds of a Springbok, which was my impression watching him and Uniek in the arena, back when he was being weaned. Poetry in motion, that colt.
Do they get extra frisky after smelling the mares in heat or is this how they always play? RS just seems to float when he is running, it's so beautiful to watch!
wondering about what breed is Rising Star and if he will be moved to a stable away from Friesians/ We see a tiny white mark on the right rib cage. The growing up of these precious babies has been such fun. Thanks111!!!!!!
RS is a KWPN Dutch Warmblood Sporthorse. It will be interesting what Yvonne decides. If she has him gelded then he could stay at Stal G. If she keeps him intact then she would probably move him to Stal H or somewhere near her.
Dutch Warmblood, bred for Dutch equine sports (mainly dressage). Quarter Horses are much bulkier than him, his breed is leaner in comparison (at least, the new iteration of the warmbloods are).
That is the first time I have seen Risey look happy in playing, and hold his own in being strong!!!! Loved it !!! He is just beautiful 😍 and learning how to deal with his friends ❤️!!!!! I was sooo happy for him !!! ❤️
