BitFenix Phenom Micro ATX and Phenom Mini ITX Unboxing - Unpacked 

You could probably get either a ventilated side panel that goes on the prodigy or you could geta card with a blower setup so it pushes the air out of the rear I/o portion of the card. I wouldhave thought they would give you the mesh side penel since you get one with the prodigy case which is (obviously) the same except for a switchup on the panels.

Give it some time... as far as i know this is his first unboxing, so just chill.

This is not an easy (or natural) thing to do. Jack deserves some time to find his voice just as Linus had a chance to when he first started.

I was looking to mod a Prodigy by removing the handles and installing normal case feet. Then they come up with this! :O

I don't think anyone can replace linus. Only way i see this working in the future is if you create a style of your own. And here are some tips that might help. Speak with more confidence. It's not the end of the world if you give a spec wrong. Linus does it all the time. Try to improve on your transitions. They don't even have to make sense. Just try to keep it going with out pausing. Flow is important. Looking forward to your future videos Jack.

With the mini ITX version I'm pretty sure you can only fit a 160mm PSU like with the prodigy and also it'll be a pain to fit a modular PSU due to the tight space in the PSU cage. Thats only for the Mini-ITX version.

Linus left NCIX a while ago. He started his own group, the Linus Media Group. He just does work for NCIX all the time, but he isn't employed by them.

The only mini-ITX motherboard that supports more than 6, that I can think of, is the ASRock FM2A85X-ITX which is 7 SATA 6Gb/s ports. But that has an FM2 socket.

Wish I had known more about these cases before doing another build in my Prodigy. Would have gone for a mATX build. Oh well!

I don't see why thy included the option of the 5.25" drive bay internally but then on the front panel there is no space. I actually kind of want mod it a bit and make a cut out just the right size for a slim slot loading drive... I don't think it would end up very clean though.

Whoa, how come these "Unpacked" videos never show up in my subscriber box? I get all the other NCIXcom videos, but I would never have known about the Unpacked series were it not for the email RU-vid sent me.

At the same time, go back and look at Linus' first unboxings, he was just as awkward as Jack and Keys are at the moment. I think Linus doesn't really have the time anymore to keep doing stuff and these guys seem to improving a lot every video, give them time, I can easily see them being the new faces of NCIX.

Nice review. But what's the use of putting 5.25" bay/tray since there's no slot or opening in front?

Love bitfenix cases but if I'm not mistaken most Mini-ITX Motherboards support only 6 SATA connections so all that HDD/SSD capacity is a little wasted...ofcourse this will increase over time so I guess they are thinking ahead.

How is the itx case not a gaming case? You only need one graphics card for gaming and it has more options for custom water cooling. Throw I that new itx bird from asus with the awesome sound card plugin riser thing and a 780 and that's all you'll ever need for gaming

I like the Size and Look of the this case over the Prodigy but no front disk drive .. Was planning on Sound Card + Graphics Card + Blu Ray Gaming Media Machine with this. The prodigy just doesn't fit in with the Living Room.

Iw as thinking about getting one of these. DO they fit what I need for a gaming computer? Also, it doesnt have a disc reader, will that be a problem?

Hang on. On the M-ITX version, how does the GPU get ventilation if there are no holes for it to breathe?

The front panel can be used for intake of the psu or it's too small for that??

Whell, i cannot agree thet mini-ITX case is more a storage rig. Cuz it Can be great gaming machine with single graphics card. With good CPU, beasty graphics card, water cooling i prefer the mini-ITX version cuz it's just enough for good gaming experience.

I'd imagine you'd have to get a fair few molex connectors to even get power to them!. The Mini ITX is a perfect fit to replace my N40L server though..Whack 6 X 4TB WD Red's in and put em in Raid 5 and you're laughing xD

can the mini itx fit 2 x 240 rads because you guys said that the bitfenx prodogy could but it cant. so can it really fit

That's the thing. I don't know anybody who is an NCIX fan. They came because Linus was good and just liked NCIX by proxy. The quality of the videos has dropped since Linus left and that is what everyone is complaining about.

Wish I built an M-itx or M-atx rig

-DVD drive LOL DVDs are becoming obsolete pretty quickly. It may be a convenient way to install an OS but you can do that by USB these days. And almost all PC games are installed by digital downloads.

the m-atx version has a bit of a flaw as far as ventilation goes.. PSU's exhaust warm air no matter what you do on the computer and to have such a beastly ventilator option of 230mm on the bottom, sit right next to the psu's exhaust is such a waste..
