Hi! Welcome to my fourth video posted on RU-vid :-)
In this episode I will take you to the famous Italian region Valle d'Aosta for a two-day trek on the summit of the mountain Testa di Liconi (2.929 m - 9609 ft), where is located a wonderful bivouac - certainly among the most beautiful in the whole Valley - dedicated to Luigi Pascal, a Morgex mountain guide who was the victim of an avalanche on the Miage glacier on 3 July 1999.
The amazing peculiarity of this place is that it offers a priceless view over the whole Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif!
As a mountain photographer this remote location immediately won the place of “spot to visit at least once a year"... and watching this video you will understand why! :-)
My name is Roberto Bertero and I am a photographer-musician from Turin. I have been exploring the Alps for as long as I can remember and since 13 years I am devoted to photograph the most significant moments, up there, in the high mountains!
Just recently I’ve opened this RU-vid channel, in order to document some of my adventures also through the video, a new experience for me, which I find very fascinating.
Most of the time I hike alone, or sometimes in the company of my girlfriend. I believe that only in this way is it possible to hear the sublime silence of certain places.
My aim is to share my alpine experiences lived at all hours and in all seasons.
So, through my videos - which I hope will be more and more refined in capturing mountain's intimate essence - you will see the Alps in all possible light conditions: twilight, dawn, daylight, sunset, blue hour, night… in the moonlight or beneath the magical mantle of the Milky Way.
Join me in this adventure! :-)

Stunning scenary, expertly photographed and filmed. Very interesting variety of shots and experiences shown too. Beautiful meditative soundtrack. Thanks for sharing so much of the beauty of this place. In the silence, part of my spirit will always soar there.

Many thanks for the appreciation! There is a lot of work behind these videos, and a lot of worn out boots in the mountains, so I’ve really enjoyed you comment. Happy New Year!

Amazing video and photo’s! How was the climb? I saw on bergfex that the climb was around 2000 hm Dalley? Did you start there too or did you start in courmayeur?

Stunning! I'm planning to do the TMB this summer and now i'm thinking to go a bit off the route to stay at this bivouac. If I may ask, which month did you go? Was it full? As I will only stay in refuges, i won't have a tent in case it's full...

Hi Agathe, personally I tend to go more towards September, October, November... but if you happen to be there in the middle of the summer months I think it will already make a big difference to avoid staying overnight on weekends! With best wishes for a wonderful hike 😊

Did you need to reserve or did you camp in tent ? Is there water nearby?
@AlpsPicturesTales
@AlpsPicturesTales Год назад
It is not necessary to reserve, because it is a bivouac not a refuge. About the tent if you want you can use it. For water, there is a small lake 100 meters below the bivouac (obviously water to boil or filter).

@@AlpsPicturesTales perfect yeah just did it yesterday ! Pitched the tent next to the small water source …

@@Matthew-px9nu Great! I hope you enjoyed this adventure :-) Was it your personal preference to use the tent or was the bivouac full of people? Have a nice day.
