Nah, I think the biggest difference is the fact that Partizan is labeled as a Yugoslavian club, so by that attracts more liberal people, as well as Bosniaks, Croats etc. On the other hand, Red Star is strictly Serbian, nationalist and prevents Croats and Bosniaks to be labeled with a club on any level. Furthermore, BC Partizan has more IG followers than Red Star, because most new fans know 0 shit about basketball and is only watching because of the current hype. That is the pure reason while only Ultras are cheering for 95% of the game, while in Red Star's game against Barça, everyone cheered for 95% of the time, not just Ultras. Want to also acknowledge that the first thing Žoc started doing while giving the Press Conference is crying about the refs as always, also most Partizan fans still think their ABA tittle was stolen last season, enough of that bro.
What is your problem with coaches challenges and replays? you would rather every round games be stolen from teams due to awful refs than sit through a review that rarely lasts more than a minute or two?
Sad thing is that even with unlimited couch challenges that terrible decisions wouldn't change. Same refs that make diabolical calls is reviewing that same calls and you can't do anything about that. Look at that 3 awful refs from Red Star - Barcelona match where they make so much mistakes that both teams were rightfully complaining. It was a complete disaster and all 3 are now in some kind of suspension by Euroleague. Still, another day, another teams and everything will be the same
It’s not just a minute or two; it’s more like three to five minutes per episode, with three guys trying to get the best angle on some blurry video to see who touched the ball last. In my perfect world, there wouldn’t be referees at all. The court would be surrounded by high-quality cameras, and AI would make all the calls-no bias, nothing to complain about, no emotions, and no need for oligarch money to influence calls. Amazing.
