Just a correction: The Wave gamemode was actually inspired by the Wave Wave game.. Darnoc just gave Robtop the idea to add it to GD

Not to mention that Darnoc also pioneered the UFO gamemode which RobTop added in update 1.5 thanks to one of his first levels, Gravity Field :)

Explination for the first story: this effect is called smear effect and is caused when there's no background behind objects and so things start to render every frame. Also good vid as always :^)

The ID for Time Machine V2 was lost because it hit the 246(?) bit limit at the time. Because of this, it looped back to ID 1 and since a game already existed with ID 1, the ID was erased automatically by the game to prevent fatal errors in context of ID clash. Hope this helps!

a weird thing that happened to me. i was in recent tab levels, and came across a level called "bloodbath 2" which was simply a bloodbath copy. it had a completely different song, but i downloaded it, i dont remember the song name but it was a random NG song. When i started playing suddendly at the speed of light started playing, then i quit the level and the song was no longer the one that i downloaded, but it was at the speed of light instead. Weird af

The first one really isn’t that weird, and it makes a lot of sense that it fixed when he restarted. It likely happened for the same reason the source engine does the same thing when no skybox is set

0:59 this is very simmilar to a glitch in super mario 3d world where the game stops clearing out all of the previous frames and it basically becomes a game of solitaire, and the reason for the same thing in that game is because there is nothing (exept for the player) to render, and therefore the game doesnt see a need to clear old frames

About 1:08 . That is normal,that is mostly a camera glitch that happens to me everytime when i run gd on my pc(mostly with detailed levels,somehow peaceful is alright)

for the "glitchy madness", this bug has been seen in multiple games, mainly valve games. because the background isn't being rendered for some reason, and there is no code to refresh it, it ends up unrefreshed. in the valve community, this is known as the unrefreshed void. the objects are also not being duplicated, but instead is leaving a stamp of itseld where it was in the last frame.

Ideas collapsing, the world's collapsing, you would like to set it back to the right position. That's how I like to explain the change of minds. You take a moment to challenge existing thinking, when you prove it wrong, you replace it, thus changing your mind. The size may vary, but as always, after the moment of truth, you'll get a shock which will take some time to recover later. You might fear, or ignore the change to avoid the risk of damage. However, no matter how deep it is, it will be recovered by time. I'm not saying that you should accept every changes, but sometimes it's good to embrace it when you think it's necessary. Thanks for playing btw, Through my new work, I expressed how it would feel like to have a change. What a world-crushing experience where you could find it beautiful, terrible, or even feel absolutely nothing. This was definitely the most challenging one to build, as I needed to keep fixing this complex ass plot to make it flow decently. The first one actually happened to me playing a different game. I doubt this is exclusive to GD, but instead it is just a game rendering glitch during RAM lackage. The game I encountered it in is just another mobile idle game, Idle Slayer. I'm not a tech expert, I just think what I think.

1:25 just a theory. Geometry dash is a scrolling game. Its probably a bug in the games code. If it was normal the animated clone will become visible then the next frame the next costume of it will appear so the last costumed frame will dissapear. But for him, it didnt dissapear

Actually I think it was for some reason the geometry dash's frame refresh wasn't running and frames were being placed on top of eachother

I'm a game dev, and I think the reason for the "weird anomaly (bug at the start of the video)" is probably due to a glitch with the bufferer.
