I love bizkit too, but i wouldnt agree on the "biggest gamechanger"thing. I think he got his hype in the wrong time for that. If we still had MK I only he would be a pioneer close to saro or Inkie (eventhough inkie is less a MKI pioneer) but at the same time MK II and things with second devices got crazy. So I wouldnt say hes the biggest gamechanger but at least one of the best, if not the best battle looper atm. (I see him on top with a predpared rythmind if we declare him as still active, the german beasts like lennars. slether, syjo still have to prove themselves on the biggest battle stages imo, Robin ofc did amazing too this GBB but I dont see him as much as a battle looper). Bizkit just brings the battle energy it needs in my opinion for these battles. Especially this year, where more than every second round was a wildcard or already known I was very happy to have bizkit and brez in the battles and Robins suprisingly battle-ish rounds. I think without that, it would have been the worst Loop-GBB by far. (eventhough I still think its the "worst" Loop-Year so far since integrating the category)

​​@@flourman_bbx I thoroughly respect your views and your understanding of the scene my brother!Yes IMO I meant Bizkit as a game changer relative to his battles and GBB21 as to mastering MK1 with unique sound landscape. Speaking of game changers, no doubt I personally hold MB14,Saro and Inkie at the highest regards. Yes Thorsen,penkyx were great in their era but I'd say refinement is what distinguished loop station since 2016 And speaking of German bbx scene, I'd prefer them over the current GBB lineup as the diversity is immense ( Fusion of genres, originality). It's because it's like Bizkit said that 808 Bannon, not only got robbed from getting the first place wildcard, but also got robbed from winning a wildcard PERIOD when Mirsa who, no disrespect, shouldn't have won a wildcard, got in.

yeah i feel like you could even see some of the judges covering their ears. and on stage you hear the music differently than you do in the crowd

Correct, over the years it has gotten less and less about the battle and more musical, but I think bizkit just reminded everyone what this is all about.

U check the things you can rate objectively.. Musicality in terms of structure pitch harmonies etc, techinicality in terms of complexity, used techniques, sound design and originality and showmanship. My judging would be like this: 1st round: Mirsa is more musical, better sound design, better mix (but remember bizkit is MK I) and bizkit had the slightly better structure (Mirsa had the big mess up in the beginning, so bizkit takes that for me eventhough in the end he just switched effects on the same Tracks and the same beat) and better showmanship and technicality. Originality is more or less on one lvl (subjective preferences excluded). 2nd Round: Mirsas Structure is fine, musicality is good again, no mess ups, but I didnt like some details f ex in the 2nd drop where he just integrates the nice melody whilst stopping the beat and also his playing with the arpeggios in the first drop was a bit over the place. Sounddesign was better again but this time I think a lot of this advantage is bc of MK II. Bizkit had a banger prepared, structure at least at mirsas lvl, amazing showmanship and crowd control with all the references, technically better again and originality is again a question of taste imo but i think its impossible to be more original than creating a round for one specific opponent which counters him stylisticly and lyrically. So I didnt like both first rounds that much but bc of the second bizkit takes it home pretty clearly for me and he had a slight advantage in first round too.

I think Mirsa's biggest problem is that he takes way too long to build the beat, and doesn't do anything to build in an interesting way, which you can do by playful teasing (the way Brez does) or setting a simple foundation that's already good enough very quickly like Bizkit does then further building on that. With Mirsa you spend way too much time with something that doesn't resemble a beat at all.

@whenisdinner2137 It is a battle, good job on noticing. It doesn’t seem like you actually have a loop, or know much about it with that attitude. I respect the judges very much for the fact that they’re all pioneers and legends. But I would respect someone like inkie’s opinion (who thought mirsa was very close to winning) just a bit more than a beardyman. Because Beardyman is not as involved with the beatboxing scene due to really cool personal projects he has going on and has made some errors in his judging career (such as syjos gbb 2023 wildcard). You probably aren’t aware of that much, but that’s okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just hope whatever it is that caused you to have this negative response gets better, the beatbox community doesn’t represent or have time for that type of negative attitude. Have a great day. ❤

​@lucasparana828 look mirsa has a good mix, great structure, and the complexity on his tracks are insane, but I dont know what youre smoking if you dont think this battle is 5-0. Despite whatever lighting issues happened mirsa still fucked up his 1st round. He took way too long to build it and then went like 10 seconds over time limit. Bizkit didnt have any major mistakes like that and his 2nd round put the nail in the coffin, especially in a battle format. So yes, bizkit killed mirsa. I fucking love inkie, but this battle was not close at all. Also, both sxin and inkie have stated they are not huge fans of bizkits style, which is fine. I feel like you saw their opinions and you're just regurgitating what they said already in their videos, which they stated are subjective takes.

Didn’t Mirsa diss him first? Kept complaining about his sounds and made fun of him for rapping and said “you’re not going to win this year”? I did this the moment I woke up but I seen Bizkit as a rebuttal

​​​@@abhisheknair8437That's just normal trash talk, Bizkit and Robin's battle in 2021 was full of that. Saying someone won't win isn't really an insult, it's more a show of power.

By that rule they probably mean insulting their friends and family, making fun of them for a disability or how they look, bringing up a criminal record, etc. I don't think bringing up a Mirsa's Discord trash talk is outside the bounds, it's an attack but it's not really insulting anybody. It's just a matter of fact that Mirsa was trash talking on Discord, and Bizkit came to fight back.
