they are bloody heinous ... I have a beater CRX that I daily and love ... in 6 months it was broken into 4 times, I've replaced the ignition switch 3 times, the main fuse twice, and I have numerous crowbar dents above the driver's door. I mean, jokes on them ... my ZC and other nice parts are hiding somewhere else ... but still :( And they stole my ashtray :/

US Spec? No. Of course JDM, yes. The biggest issue was the switches being upside down if you got the swap. That was before 3D printers though...

+Josue Soto it actually makes power to 11,000 but set the car to redline at 10,500. I think I might have a shot of his dyno graph in my Flickr, I don't remember it's been awhile since this setup. During this time it has a 4piston ported prb head, 4piston ported skunk 2 ultra race manifold, and skunk 2 ultra 4 cams, high compression stroked block on e85, so yeah, defintely made power all the way up. Full weight with extras in the car (because he puts it in car shows as well) and was still running 11.1 in the all motor street class at import faceoff that season.

Childstar that's awesome, the car looks great, sounds great and moves great. Just curious, a lot of times you see people revving to the moon just because lol. This is an impressive build, huge props on this one! I've always been boosted but all motor k has been tempting me. keep up the good work!

+Eternal_Gemstone this car is fully tuned already. The cams used are actually a little too big for this engine. 4piston isn't the first to make 500hp all motor. They made 500hp on an engine dyno, but there are others who did it as well.

+02EJ25wagon it's not even a no cut shifter, he was running the tsx/accord type shifter and it held up fine without problems and he later upgraded to a ktuned race spec shifter which is still currently in two of his cars.

Childstar oh ok it looked just like a k tuned no cut shifter in that car in this video. Just wondering because I want to use a no cut shifter but people say they're crap.

+02EJ25wagon I did a video on the race spec version and mention the no cuts from all companies....the No cut shifters are not meant to be anything special or great. They are absolutely the most basic as a shifter can get....something to just get you mobile. If you're just driving the car normal then they are fine. If you ever plan to really put the car to work and have some fun with the Powerplant under the hood, then I'd suggest the higher end rsx style shifters from ktuned or hybrid.

all oil pumps cavitate at a certain rpm. The S2000 oil pump MUST be modified in order to fit onto a "K series" engine

the rex was just tuned 2 days ago. it'll eventually be at import face-off. previous setup was just a mid 250's cammed k20 that was running 12.1 consistently.

It's a Honda engine, they live in the redline.

Definitely reliable with these revs. This one in particular is fully built to support those revs so it's fine.

This is a friend's car, but I believe his initial reason was for fitment under the hood of the crx.

@ksisjdm Makes sense. I have a K24 CRX and it required cutting the hood and even with that, the engine is so low there's very little ground clearance

It's a stroked K20 up to a 2.3L , not the rdx k23 engine as you can clearly see in the video. He has a k20z1 transmission in this video

Usually high rpm shifts not going in is due to the clutch master cylinder. And on your 4th gear shift, make sure your transmission shifter cable bracket is in the proper spot to allow your cables enough length to reach 4th really

1.he's not going for all out power 2.there will be intake piping, he's currently not even using this intake manifold anymore. the piping will be custom welded together with a vstack and filter. 3.because he wants his build to always fit under the hood with no spacers or anything like that.

He has innovative mounts. And he spaced the engine down lower. And he has a jdm crx hood which goes up in the center instead of down like the usdm model

yes it's a thermal, but it only got deep after the full build. it's still extremely loud, just mellow at idle like here in the vid.

as long it isn't loud as open headers I'm okay with it haha, I have the smaller thermal exhaust, but just too small to be putting on a built K

This isn't my car. The owner Bizzy, uses it as both a show car and a drag car. He doesn't daily drive it but he has driven it around town and on road trips several times with no issues. This engine didn't give him any trouble that I'm aware of.

... because it's not that big of a stroke. 99mm strokes are used quite regularly revving that high. This is only a 92mm.

This crx is still going, but with a bigger K24 engine.

it's a jdm front end and lip. so you aren't going to find one for a usdm bumper

+richard schraud he has a thermal R&D catback exhaust. But the sound is really a combination of the exhaust and that stroked engine.

Thermal has always been my go to but with that K it sounds like a fucking streetbike. Ugh. Amazing.
