Björk is a wellspring of creativity. Her imagination is limitless. It's a bit crazy how imaginative she is. I love her - a gift to the world. I recommend "All is Full of Love" live version in New York, Joga, Oceania live version at the Olympics, Alarm Call, and Pagan Poetry.

Björk has made some of the greatest and strangest videos of all time. She's one of the few artists where you have to watch the music video for the corresponding song. PS, she and Madonna collaborate on a song at some point in the future, but I won't tell you the album 🤫

So this is the 1st track of her 2nd album , POST. Here is where she really started creating Her Own HIGHWAY ,forget about Lane😉. She truly started finding a sweet spot while incorporating , Techno, Electronica, Dub, Synth with a bit of grunge amd all wrapped up in a Beautiful Bow ,that is her Voice. This song was inspired by her Brother ,who was dealing with mental health issues (depression etc) and she Wrote this Song. In Icelandic culture ,they dont tend to wallow in negativity or really stay stuck on the bad results or situation. So this was her way to motivate him and remind him of that amazing Icelandic characteristic. He kept complaining about Life , he'd meet an Army of Her. This is track 1 that flows str8 into Track 2, HYPERBALLAD 😍🤩😍. There was a Video but the theyve been shortened, So I highly recommend Listening to the Track its amazing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kye1TOlAWWw.html

I always thought this was a weird video even by Björk & [director] Michel Gondry standards! This is the first track on her second solo album ("Post"), and it really announced that she had leveled-up once again in her writing & musical ambition.

Bjork has definitely a place in my own holy trinity of artists I love... her music is hard, soft, bizarre, baroque, guttural, heavenly, otherwordly, weird, coarse, intricate, sophisticated, crazy, minimalist, maximalist, layered, cosmic, earthy, etc... (I could go on...)

A few paintings in the fake museum are by (or look like) works from famous German artist Gerhard Richter (including the checkered colors). I wonder whether Björk or Michel Gondry ever commented on that.

Björk is actually my favourite artist by far even more than M, she is in a genre all on her own, her earlier work is more accessible but her later work she gets more complex, she is other worldly

First time I saw this I bought everything by her. Madonna heard her first album and hired the same producers, her Bedtime Stories album was totally remixed and then had to be re-done by the original 3 producers because one of Bjork's people had revamped it to Madonna's standards. Madonna's Ray Of Light was again remixed by a Bjork producer after Madonna and William Orbit made demos. I think his name is Marius. But yeah Bjork is the best up until 2002. She's a Scorpio on the cusp of Sagittarius, other than Dark Side Of The Moon I can't think of better music for Sagittarius than Bjork. It's a thoughtful trip🎆🌻🌫🍄

Fire! "You're on your own now \ We won't save you \ Your rescue squad \ Is too exhausted" -- Bugs in the grill, heh, a disgust soon limited to museums given the rapid decline in insect populations due to the abuse of toxic pesticides.

Respect to Björk. I'm not a fan but she has a couple of good songs and her creativity is unique in a good way.

Bjork was a huge electronic dance star. She was one of my favorites. She was alittle ahead of her time when thinking about Doja Cat and Lady Gaga. Madonna was only really the big star that could get a away with an electronic dance album. They used to work a lot together, but you never really hear about her anymore. She was in a lane all on her own. I enjoyed sonique’s it’s so good and U2’s Pop album.

Love Bjork. All Is Full Of Love, Hyperballad, Pagan Poetry, Human Behavior are just some of my favorites from her. She also wrote Bedtime Story for Madonna for the Bedtime Stories album. It’s such a bizarre hypnotic track and Madonna chose to take a risk by releasing it as a single. And I love her for that. And just wait until you see the video directed by Mark Romanek.

This one was produced by Graham Massey, a member of Manchester's techno/electronica pioneers 808 State. Two years before she started her solo career, Björk did some guest vocals on 808 State's 1991 album "Ex:El". Especially the song "Oops" is a kind of blueprint for the musical direction that she took at the beginning of her solo career.

I literally bumped into her at a Dolly Parton concert at Irving Plaza in NYC back in 2002. I didn't even realize it was her until my friend told me, "Dude, you just touched Bjork." That night was amazing. Bumped into Bjork, met Dolly, and had a brief exchange with Paul McCartney through the window of his limo!

I ❤ Bjork. I actually strongly prefer the Skunk Anansie version of Army Of Me. Bjork re-recorded the most incredible vocals for this version and it is much harder, if you can imagine. Bjork has made amazing music, especially her first three albums and all the rarities during those years, as well as her earlier work in The Sugarcubes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eAkQgk1miWg.html

I love that you appreciate the artistry and creativity of Bjork. I absolutely love her earlier work and also the work that she did when she was in the group The Sugarcubes but her later music started to become way too inaccessible and abstract for me for some reason and did not resonate at all although I will always appreciate her artistic vision. I do have a couple of Bjork and Sugarcube songs on my list for future picks in case one of the other Patreons does not get to them first.

Only thing I know about her is the name is pronounced Bah-York. And you are right, her videos are bizarre...for me, annoyingly bizarre. I'm glad someone out there is a fan. She is proof there is something for everyone out there.
