So nice to see Mr Dawkins so fit and sharp. May he live many years still.

Fit and sharp certainly, however, remember this was recorded in 2015, before his mild stroke.

The Movie you mentioned about ISLAM is being made now by the youth of IRAN, started 180-300 years ago, but it is so strange that the feeling and thinking of superiority ,cultural Gap and racial & cultural difference made it difficult to see hear or feel, so it needs very sharp eyes, ears, ..senses and emotional intelligent to see and feel...

Dear Dr, Howkins, Have you ever read anything about the "Some answered Questions " of Abdul Baha- answering the Questions of Lady Cliford Barni, or the book of " Certitude " by Bahaullah. or the Poetry of RUMI: from more than 1000 years ago, who is referring to the existence starting from Soil. wind or fire? some how closer to Evolution.??Why not?

The only way religion can survive is through passing down from parents to Children. Also, that's the same reason why it has become an identity, thus considered as offensive to criticize. The only solution to this problem is to prevent that 'default inheritance by birth' from parents to children.

In the comprehensive school curriculum, add to the part that deals with knowledge about religion, conclusions about the devastating damage to the human intellect and our sanity religion has dealt. Also include in the value system of all educational institutions, the denunciation of holding religious claims for true in a factual sense.

I love these kind of intelligent discussions. I am generally interested in science. But, I am also a spiritual person, and see no real conflict in believing in both "sides".

Above being interested in science, or being spiritual .. one should always strive to be rational and critical in thinking. Because we are by nature, not rational.

DO you see yourself foremost as a scientist or author nowadays? As a scientist Lower left corner showing his credentials almost simultaneously of Dawkins mentions: Författare = author..

To get a PHD you have to do a masters and to do a masters you have to teach, now the reason you have to teach to get a masters is that you learn more from teaching others than you do from being tought yourself, so it seems only logical to me to deduce that whriting books for the lay person about science is science in and of itself because not only is it going to teach the whriter but it will also teach the reader and you do not get much more bang for your buck than that do you?
@larryparis925

I agree with you that much of teaching is self-education, because you must become very familiar with the information, and have it organized in a way that makes sense to YOU.
