“DOMINANT POSITIONS, BRUTAL SUBMISSIONS!” VIDEO TRAILER ‪@BJJ.Fanatics‬
Unlock Unbelievably Punishing Positions and Submissions With Snake Pit USA Head Coach Joel Bane!
OVER 4.5 HOURS OF SIDE CONTROL MAYHEM! Covering; Basic Side Control, Over Under, Head & Arm & Bicycle Down!

WEBLINK: bjjfanatics.co...
Bane’s latest series focuses on establishing dominant positions and utilizing often overlooked aspects of generating pressure, limiting escape options, all while making your opponent as uncomfortable as possible!
Take the classic side control approach and revitalize it with crippling controls that leave opponents defenseless and open for high-percentage submissions.
Use controls like the double wrist lock, half stocks, and more to immobilize opponents while also providing clear-cut pathways to secure a wide range of submissions.
Develop a mindset shift and avoid the flashy one-time-use submissions that aren’t consistent and stick to proven attacks that Coach Bane has learned from multiple generations of Catch Wrestling Legends!
Keep the opposition guessing with lazy boy leg attacks from side control that are designed to take advantage of common defensive measures from bottom side control.
Overhaul your top game with Joel Bane’s masterclass 6-part instructional dedicated to Dominant Positions and BRUTAL Submissions!

I dont understand why Catch Wrestling is not as popular as Jiujitsu?

Simple really, BJJ won the marketing battle. There’s also other reasons such as: 1. Instead of “Pro” Wrestling being able to help attract fame for Catch Wrestling, it just built an idea that the term “Wrestling” means scripted fighting. 2. People were attracted to the GI and the belt system, which is something that Catch Wrestling doesn’t use. 3. There’s not enough gyms that teach Catch Wrestling nor enough people doing practicing and competing with the art, plus many people that did back then just switched to BJJ. 4. BJJ has actually become a hybrid style nowadays because they learn and adapt to other arts, but most Catch Wrestling gyms don’t really want to change their traditions and techniques in order to keep their art “authentic”.

The reason is simple. A majority of BJJ submissions come from Catch Wrestling. But they never give credit where credit is due. They just rename the the moves. So the average person sees it and calls it BJJ.

@@JonathanRenaud- That too, also Carlos Gracie with the help of 2 of his brothers, crippled Rufino Dos Santos (A Brazilian Catch Wrestler) after Dos Santos dominated in an unorganized match that was issued by Carlos Gracie against him in order to prove that BJJ was superior to Catch Wrestling. The President of Brazil during that time game the Gracies pardons and they went free.

The early UFC popularized BJJ. The Gracies would hand pick their fights against those with little to no grappling experience in order to promote their martial art. It worked out for them well in the end

I remember more than 20 years ago , believing in catch , having the Tony Caccinni (sp?) tapes. Everyone I new told that is all bs , until I started tapping them with some of the shit 😊

“Lost Art of Hooking” from back in the 90s. To this day I show my training partners the difference between an “Americana” and a “top double wrist lock.” Get taps before the lock is fully on. But I’m still too nervous to go for that step over toehold.
