Real No-Gi Submission Wrestling, Catch-as-Catch-Can style for all ages and skill levels. At Snake Pit U.S.A. we use an easy to understand curriculum with strict guidelines ensuring the highest level of proficiency and credibility. The Catch-as-Catch-Can definition: “by any means available” promotes the art’s aggressive/offensive nature it’s known for. Often referred to as the “Violent Art,” Catch Wrestling is not based on waiting for an opponent to make a mistake, but on forcing reactions and causing entanglements throughout punishing transitions, and positive control. The Snake Pit U.S.A. Catch Wrestling Association currently has many locations world-wide. Check them out on our website and BE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL. I never knew i did this, but when i was applying submissions, i would always place my right leg under my left then push my hips up. For the longest time i didnt know i did this till i was just messing around and noticed how out of instinct my right leg was always underneath
As someone who has recently become really interested in catch wrestling I’m still a little confused about 1 thing. I know this is an older video but hopefully someone sees this and can answer haha. How are there techniques from positions like side control and such in catch if a match ends in a pin? I’ve seen a few different double wrist lock variations and other holds/subs where they hold the opponent down on both shoulders but I thought the match would be over at that point? I can understand a technique such as the one in the video existing but does this on,y count if you hit it immediately upon being out on your back? I’m asking from a pure CACC perspective not Catch in BJJ.
You’re simply confusing Sport 1905 Catch Wrestling w/pins, with the actual Art of Catch Wrestling. Original Catch Wrestling had No pins and crazy as it sounds, old Greco actually had Submissions. 👍🏻 At Snake Pit USA we teach and embrace the Art not the sport. Sure we’ve done some fun shows for old times sake but that’s the only reason. Just a historical good time. Hope that answers your question. Have a great weekend! 🙏🏻 - J. Bane

From England, not so far from the UK Snake Pit. Just came across the video. Great stuff, I teach Japanese Jujutsu so no floor butt scooting with worms 😂. On a side note, one of our students is the great grandson of Willian 'Pop' Charnock AKA Pop Saxon, who taught Billy Riley and I'm led to believe also Billy Robinson way back when. All the best from the UK.
Thank you. Do you have any more bio info on William Charnock? He did train Billy Riley, but there was a fallout between them. Never heard anyone mention him as Pop Saxon. I know he was of Irish decent. Karl Gotch worked with him but not Billy Robinson. Any further info that you have on his story regarding who trained him, his birth date etc. would be amazing to learn. It is impossible to find. Thank you again! 🙏🏻 - J. Bane
This is as close as it gets brother. Check the link below. This October, 11-hours of technical drilling that is logged towards USA Catch Wrestling Levels. 👍🏻 - J. Bane ✅➡️ www.eventbrite.com/e/920325035957?aff=oddtdtcreator
Nice sequence, ankle control handy detail. Can I ask something? I'm enjoying watching your catch videos, I'm currently training BJJ at the moment obviously Neck Crank is illegal in BJJ unless sub only, but would the sequence where turning opponent belly down be legal in BJJ?
It would depend on the promotion’s ruleset per skill level/age. For instance, everything on here is legal in 18+ No-Gi Expert NAGA, Grappling Industries and many more organizations. Best wishes to you in your training 👍🏻- J. Bane
Just wanted to say thanks prof Bane, bought your instructional ( dominant position brutal submissions) on bjj fanatics and really paid off, won double gold in gi and no gi with 3 submissions coming from the americana in kesa gatame.
I love rolling toe hold I submitted a guy I had no business beating with this. Years in catch wrestling on and off and I'm still a big goombah on the mat
Thank you for sharing these videos. Your instruction is top notch. In BJJ a lot of details about submissions are ignored and not understood. Taking the slack out and minimizing the extension of subs should be common practice, but it's not. I've seen an absurd amount of BJJ black belts that can't do a proper triangle. Leaving space, unnecesarry unlocking, not getting an angle. I miss submission wrestling.
