The real Ivar the boneless died from a disease and not in the battle or old age. But the real bjorn ironside died an old man and had 3 children and not childless like the show shows us.

Just finished the full season 6.Michael Hirst i salute you for a fantastic show! I salute you for not fuck up the ending.. It was very respectful and forfilled. Cant wait for the spinoff show "Valhalla"
"Farewell my Brother. It gladdens me to know that Odin makes ready the benches for a feast. Soon you will be drinking ale from curved horns. The Valkyries summon you home."
@@GustaboPapasIII to be fair, its completely normal to die in fear. Additionally, ivar in this show always felt inferior to everyone so him crying was more so he was afraid he was not worthy to die and go to valhalla. Considering that most vikings raped and pillaged yet still went to valhalla, I doubt ivar won't go.
@@GustaboPapasIII you are wrong, he was afraid by the thought that perhaps his deeds would not be enough for the gods since he fougt with mind not with an axe or a sword and if he did enough to be in the valhalla near his brother and father . You hate Ivar or you really couldnt catch this? LOL
@@redterrorproductions1373 yes he did lol he threw the hatchet that killed him at the table but at the end of the day this fight never even happened n a brother that was part of that raiding part was never mentioned.actually Bjorne never was there it was ivar ,ubba ,and the other son they don’t name at all in the series halfdan which is weird cause they name literally everyone but him
Ragnar best two Sons in history RIP to both of them, and their Father Ragnar..🙏👑👑👑 1. Ragnar Lothbrok..👑🙏 2. Bojorn Ironside..👑🙏 3. Ivar The Boneless..👑🙏 Legends..👏👏👏
ubba and ivar were the best thing in season 6, ivar death made me cry and the story arc of ubba was amazing and had a beautiful ending with floki and king alfred was badass af ,king harald and bjorn death was epic, goodbye Vikings
i think that every of Ragnar's son have a personnality of him : Bjorn is Ragnar's origins and his leadership personnality, Ubbe is the curiosity and the will to discover new lands and settle there, Ivar is the vice the war and the intelligence in anger of his father and, Hvitserk is the one who is torn between the 2 personnalities represented by Ubbe and Ivar.
I'm from different civilization and different culture but it's really affected me deeply, it was really a great saga, greatness can be felt by anyone alive ❤️❤️❤️
the same song when ragnar died was used for his sons death as well. what is more sad was when bjorn was raising his sword, i saw ragnar in that sword. the song of ragnar's death brought back so many sorrowful memories. and when the sword of the kings fell from bjorn's hand i knew in that moment that it was the end for the age of heroes. ivar and bjorn were like ragnar more than people might think. ~sometimes i wish i never left the farm.
The only death to make me tear up was Ivar and only if he could know that how many 100's of years later we are all watching a story about him and his family and how people still know the name IVAR THE BONELESS
In my opinion Ivar has nothing truly great in him. Except his drive for violence, death and ruthlesness. Ragnar was a visionary, his mind was far superiorer to most of the people in his time, his thinking was hundreds of years ahead of his time. The people cornered him and pretty much held him back. Björn had lots of that in him, paired with feats of a warrior and also the abillity to not just be a king of a whole country, but to lead a country. Thats unimaginable for us. Oh, and he didnt want the crown at the end.
Respect for you Einar Selvik for these grat songs that inspire us and show us what true Honor means .... Michael Hirst i salute you for a fantastic show I salute you for this GREAT Ending..... It was very Respectful and Forfilled. Cant wait for the spinoff show "Valhalla" 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏💥💥💥
Season 6 redeemed most of season 4 part 2 and Season 5 for me. And most of all, they redeemed Floki. Floki went from my 2nd favourite character to the only part of the show I would skip out of absolute boredom with the iceland plot. This was a great ending to send off an amazing show. And this song was part of the reason why. A Masterpiece.
Bjorn's death (as well as Ivar's) was done pretty well but I don't understand why the writers got hooked on the "Snake Pit Poetry" soundtrack that was used for Ragnar's death. Why didn't they try to compose specific music for the death of two characters as important as Bjorn and Ivar (the two heroes of the show after Ragnar's death)? Admittedly, the music for Ragnar's death was beautiful, but bringing it out at the slightest opportunity becomes exhausting. Too bad because Trevor Morris had composed a special soundtrack for Ivar's death called "Brotherhood" (and available on RU-vid) but it was not broadcast in episode 20. It is however magnificent and would have had the merit of making Ivar's death as epic as that of Ragnar.
@@ghostdrummer8974 ivar was in so much pain he couldn't do anything. So he just told the guy do not be afraid. Ivar was fearless until his last moments.
The whole time I was wondering if Ivar would eventually kill Hvitsverk or the other way around but in the end... they'd been through so much together that neither of them could bring themselves to do it. Ivar shouldn't have killed Bjorn either... they could've conquered the world together...
They could have done a lot of things together if Lagurtha hadnt murdered their mother and usurped Kattegat from the sons of Ragnar. Even Sigurd's death could have been avoided...badmouthing their dead mother was what led to his death.
Ivar was and still is my favorite characters in the show because he's just like me and anyone that suffers with a disability like all deserves respect but the one thing I learned from Ivar is don't let people bullied you because of your disability make them pay for it by showing how smart and intelligent you are.
Some historians and archeologist found a 9 foot skeleton buried in england of scandinavian decent with strong indicators it was Ivar the Boneless. This would explain his condition he had with his bones breaking as it is common with people this size. But 9 feet tall bright blue eyes, we can only imagine the fear Ivar would generate on a battlefield. These types of people will never exist again, the world is too soft now.
The World trembles before the voice of Einar Selvik, calling forth the vikings of the north to fight for the ALLFATHER AND LIVE ON FOREVER IN THE HALLS OF VALHALLA
Melhor serie da minha vida smcd, essa música então,mdssss essa última season a acabou com uma era...SKOLLL IRMÃOS SEUS NOMES NUNCA SERÃO ESQUECIDOS❤🍺🍺🍻🍻
